I ordered a Bacon, Spinach & Tomato sandwich from Gulf Coast Sourdough Sandwich House through DoorDash and when it arrived it did not have any spinach or tomato on it at all. Those are literally two of the main ingredients of the sandwich.

This wasn’t a delivery issue — DoorDash only delivers the food. The restaurant prepares the order, so the mistake happened in the kitchen.

It’s really disappointing to receive a sandwich missing key ingredients you paid for. Attention to basic order accuracy should be expected, especially when ordering a specific menu item. I hope they improve their quality control so this doesn’t happen to other customers.

I stopped by Gulf Coast Sourdough Sandwich House for the first time and it definitely won’t be my last! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
The sourdough bread was absolutely amazing fresh, soft, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality. The sandwich ingredients were also super fresh and everything came together perfectly.
It’s clear they take pride in what they make, and it shows in every bite. If you love great sandwiches and real sourdough bread, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

We were looking at local parks and 2 ended up being a bust. We decided to find a place for lunch instead. This is a tiny place with limited seating indoor and outdoors. They have hot sandwiches, frozen bread ready to go, same with fresh bread and they also had muffins and a couple pastries . I got the Italian on rosemary garlic and my husband the buffalo ranch on simple sourdough. We caught them at their lunch hour because it did take a little while for our sandwiches, but they were delicious and worth the wait!

Finally a local place to purchase amazing bread. This trip was quick and limited. Next time I’ll plan accordingly. A must try is the Cinnamon Swirl Loaf! Truly a heavily toasted treat for everyone.

If you are ever craving the best sandwich you’ve ever had, it’s time to hit up Gulf Coast Sourdough. We have frequented them for over a year now and they are always SO GOOD! They have so many different options you wouldn’t think of at a sandwich shop. They also have a weekly special every single week. In my photo, I tried the Lavender Haze special which was made with lavender and black pepper sourdough. GUYS, I cannot tell you how amazing this sandwich was. It was so well balanced but I just love that they press all their sandwiches which always makes them 100x better. Not only do they do everything right, they also contribute to the community! Their Community Roots Egg Sandwich donates to the Community Roots non-profit with every purchase AND it’s tasty as ever. Outside of sandwiches, they also make flybys which are basically stuffed sourdough rolls, you can get pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, whole loaves of bread, etc, etc. It’s a very grab and go kind of vibe inside but you can easily eat there with no hassle which makes this girl-on-the-go very happy.

Couldn’t have been a worse experience, took 35 minutes for a pickup of two egg sandwiches, The sandwiches had very little flavor and the bread was okay but did not live up to its reputation by any means.

Not to mention the staff for whatever reason even though it wasn’t that busy seem very rushed and were incredibly rude and provided subpar service.

The two women who were at the register particularly were very short on patience.

When you’re charging 12 to $15 for a breakfast sandwich it should be good and not just good it should be really good and if it’s not good at least you should give good customer service and be friendly.

Also some of the breads they have there I’m sure are decent but they look a lot better than they taste.

Extremely disappointed and definitively will not go back!

This is my favorite place in Seminole Heights and quite possibly Tampa Bay. I usually get a loaf every other week (party of 1) and a community roots sandwich on the siracha bread for breakfast. The food never fails to be amazing and the staff are always friendly! 6 stars out of 5.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience here was so upsetting that I feel it’s important to share. I ordered a sandwich with no cheese (clearly marked that way on the wrapper), yet it still came with cheese. I contacted the restaurant directly, hoping for some understanding, especially since I’m one week postpartum, eating at the hospital while my baby is in the NICU, and now left without a meal.

DoorDash refunded me after I reached out, but I had hoped the restaurant would step up and make it right for the future, like any good place would, given the opportunity. Instead, the general manager told me, “you don’t have to guilt trip us, we don’t give out free sandwiches.” That was not only dismissive but incredibly harsh, especially given the circumstances.

Mistakes happen, but kindness and accountability matter. To treat a new mom, or frankly any customer, with such rudeness is unacceptable. I will never give this business my support again, and I strongly urge others to consider how they treat their customers before giving them yours. Truly the worst experience I’ve had with a local restaurant.

We had a LARGE breakfast order from Gulf Coast Sourdough in Tampa, and it honestly made the whole day for us. The Flyby sandwiches were warm, fresh, smelled INCREDIBLE, and SO special and different from anything we’ve had before. Basically breakfast calzones. Amazing. Like, the kind of comfort food you could happily eat every day without getting bored. What really stood out, though, was the care behind it all. You can tell everything is made with intention and good ingredients, but it’s also the people. Daniel, the owner/manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He’s the kind of person who remembers the little details and makes you feel like your order really matters. If you want breakfast that tastes homemade but BETTER, please support this local business!!!!!
