My husband and I used to love this Pancheros location. It’s close to our home, and we were always blown away by the service, food, and generous portions. However, the last five visit, from October until now, have been incredibly disappointing. I normally don’t like leaving negative reviews because I don’t want to tear down a business or its employees, but I felt I needed to share this in hopes it helps improve the overall quality at this location. The service has been poor, and I felt uncomfortable asking questions, as if I was an inconvenience. The portions were shockingly small, like just a pinch of lettuce in a bowl. I wanted to ask for additional sides, but the employee looked annoyed the entire time I was ordering. The food was also cold, including both the meat and rice. We truly hope the service and overall experience improve, because we love Pancheros and its convenience to our home! I’ve worked in customer service myself, so I don’t expect over-the-top enthusiasm, but the workers seemed annoyed and made me feel like I was the problem.I don’t mean to be overly negative,

Smallest pancheros burrito I’ve ever gotten. Had to ask them if it was a kid size due to how small it was. Employees seemed upset to be there making a paycheck. No one smiled, no one greeted me. The young cashier didn’t even stand up, nor did she get the chips for my order, had to wait for the one who made the food to finish, then go get chips out of the back while the cashier sat there doing nothing.
Overall not impressed with the food or service.

Race has awesome customer service and I really appreciate her holding it down trying to wait on 6 customers by herself while the rest of the team were in the back. Marybeth the manager was counting the drawer, one girl made excuses and had poor customer service . They don’t change their gloves and they’re unapologetic. Their attitude showed with their environment – are they really caring about the food they are giving customers ?

I really hate giving negative reviews, especially for brands I genuinely like — and Pancheros is one of them. My wife and I visited this location on October 4th, 2025 (around 3:30 PM) because we’ve always enjoyed the Pancheros experience elsewhere.
However, this visit was disappointing from the moment we walked in. The front counter was empty, and we could hear employees talking in the back, but no one came out to greet us for about two minutes. During that time, my wife noticed a strange smell and pointed out that the place looked poorly maintained — with what seemed like cross-contamination on the line and an overall off energy.
She felt so uneasy that she said, “Let’s go — I don’t trust eating here.” Sadly, I agreed. We ended up leaving without ordering.
I’m sharing this not to tear anyone down but because feedback is how businesses improve. First impressions matter — and it was disappointing to see a brand we’ve always supported present itself this way. I truly hope the owner or manager sees this and takes steps to bring this location back up to the Pancheros standard.
We’ll definitely give it another try someday, hoping for a better experience.

This is the second time I’ve been to this location that the food has been super cold. Like freezing cold. They were out of sour cream, carnitas and queso. It was literally 6:30. The first time the food was cold I was like, stuff happens. This time I’m pissed! Clearly the steam tables aren’t working. I mean the meat was so cold.

Placed an online order so that it could be ready on my drive to work. Got to the restaurant and went inside. Completely empty of customers (it was 5pm) and two teenage employees messing around behind the counter. I told one that I had an order to pick up and it was not even made. The kid told me that they’ll get started on it. It didn’t take too long, and I still barely got to work on time, but when I went to eat the quesodilla, it was horrible. It so little meat and cheese in it, it was literally just an $8 folded tortilla. I am so disappointed and I understand why everyone dislikes this location. It’s definitely worth traveling to a different location.

I love pancheros and just recently moved to grimes so I was excited to try out this location! Before ordering, the only person on the line was cashing out a guest with his gloves ON, then came down to make my food with the gloves that he handled his cash with! I told him to change his gloves which he did. Then I paid with cash as well and he did the exact same thing! Took my cash, did not change his gloves, then went to all the raw meat on the back grills he had cooking and I knowww he is handling that raw meat and then touching everything else. Talk about cross contamination I will not be eating here again!! I was absolutely disgusted.

Let me preface this by saying we thought maybe it was since we were ordering through DoorDash, so we started ordering through the Pancheros app directly…still sucks!
I’ll sum up the errors made, in a very simple order, made tonight:
1. My wife ordered salsa verde and chips, we got the chips, but the wrong salsa
2. The receipt shows that we ordered queso, there was no queso to be found
3. According to our order, we should have received two things of chips, we only received one
Save yourself the time…this place is an EMBARRASSMENT…goodbye Pancheros Grimes!

I love pancheros it’s my favorite restaurant so it sucks when I have to drive 15 minutes extra to get it just to avoid going to the one closest to me. The grimes location is dirty and awful customer service. I asked for a double wrapped burrito and immediately the worker started being loud and obnoxious about how much he hates when people ask for two tortillas. I ignored the comment and finished my order thinking that it was fine but when I got to my car I saw that there was only 1 tortilla. I understand some parts of a job may be annoying but that’s no reason to be rude and not do your job.

We went around lunch time on a Wednesday. It wasn’t busy when we got there and we were helped right away and our food was correct. The food however is very mediocre. Not much flavoring, tastes watered down. My husband got a chicken burrito with mild salsa, pico de gallo and sour cream and said he barely tasted any salsa and the main flavor of the whole burrito was sour cream. I got a carnitas salad the texture of the meat was good, but once again tasted watered down. The veggies had no flavor at all and my “salad” hardly had any lettuce. I got queso and chips and the queso just tasted like cheap queso from the grocery store. Also there is no kids menu and a cheese quesadilla is almost $6 – which does not seem worth it for just cheese and a tortilla?
