Vegan and Vegetarian options were plenty and tasted good. Portion sizes were great. Presentation was fine. Place is good for a casual “lets have a quick nice sushi meal”.
The tight space is the problem. Get seated near the door on a windy cold day and your interest in the food goes down by 50% every time someone walks in or out . The waitress was very helpful though. She made the effort to clear up a better table and moved us inside to a warmer corner. Wouldn’t have been possible on a busy day.

We went for dinner on a Thursday night. The service was attentive and friendly. The decor is freshened up from when we’ve been there previously, which was nice. Good ambiance, and quiet place for dinner.
The sushi was all very fresh and nicely presented!
We will be back!

I’d come back to try the happy hour. The food was good and priced reasonably. The portions are good and service was attentive. We went on a weekday before 6pm and there were plenty of seats. After 6:30 it started to get filled up
Dive bar music was noticeable and kinda cute?

Had 4 different kinds of veg sushi and loved all of them. We had the house veg roll, veg tempura roll, Buddha roll and fried tofu roll. We also had the roasted rice tea which was the only thing we didn’t love. Firstly the tea was not even lukewarm, the server replaced it with hot water but it still only seemed like water and there was hardly any taste in the tea at all.

3/5. I was disappointed with my experience at KIWAMI, primarily due to the service. The sushi itself was pretty decent, especially the handmade rolls. Food-wise, solid! However, the waitress on duty was unfortunately very inattentive to our table. My family and I came in around 5 on Sunday and it was not too busy, but once we were handed our menus, it took the waitress 7 or so minutes to come back around and check in on us. Once we were all done eating, we had to wait quite a long time to get the check as well. It felt like if we had chosen pick up, we would’ve gotten the same experience. She was nice enough when she was actually there but the tip we gave her felt undeserved due to the slow service despite the restaurant’s lack of occupancy. We have been ordering take out from here for years but I am unsure that my family will go to or order from this establishment again simply due to the service. 🙁

This place has great fresh fish, fair prices and the staff is great. I love this place. They have a really good happy hour menu. Indecently expensive but so worth it!

Solid sushi spot on Kirkland. They have a happy hour menu along with the regular menu. The food and drinks were delicious. The sushi rolls were fairly large and filling. We enjoyed this restaurant so much.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, so I ordered a handful of appetizers. While the cucumber sunomono salad was small and unmemorable, the Kinoko tofu was hearty and delicious, the Ume-Shiso was amazing, and the Renkon Tempura was so very good that I wanted to order another one during my meal. While they are tiny rolls, the shiso leaf in the Ume-Shiso had crisp and refreshing taste that more than made up for their size; definitely worth ordering. Every part of the Renkon Tempura was excellent; this is a perfect example of what tempura should be.
Service was quick and attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant: clean, professional but with fun little touches.

I have ordered from this place before and liked the food. However, consistency has def been an issue.
Definitely do not recommend ordering during rush hour. Quality deteriorates like crazy. Food was inedible (missing items, etc). Kicker is that they don’t have time to help you or even offer an apology for their own mistakes. The server told me “she’s too busy and it’s rush hour. She has other customers to tend to. She’ll call when she can to see what can be done”. Well Im out 30 dollars, waited 1 hour for the food to be delivered and now have to find another option for dinner.

We chose to sit by the bar coming close to 6pm for dinner (no wait at the time). The sushi that we ordered were 7th heaven, red dragon, and creamy scallop. Both 7th heaven and red dragon tasted ok, the creamy scallop was very disappointing. Felt like it was not fresh scallop, maybe because they cut it up so much that I barely taste the scallop. I definitely had better creamy scallop gunkan elsewhere. The atmosphere was nice. Service was prompt. For the price that we ended up paying, we might not come back as nothing really stood out for us.
