A medical crisis kept us away for a couple of years, so we were excited to finally return. We were surprised—pleasantly—to see that the shop has nearly doubled in size since our last visit. The expanded space looks great, and the same wonderful service and friendly smiles we’ve always known are still there.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the bakery items on this visit. The quality didn’t quite match what we had come to love over the years. Because we’ve always had such consistently positive experiences in the past, we’re hopeful this was just an off day.
We absolutely plan to return and give it another try—fingers crossed that things are back to the delicious standards we remember so well.
I especially liked the raspberry scones and the whole loaf of chocolate babka
Cute design and I love the mural with the cinnamon rolls—LOVE!
Tucked away in Gilbert’s charming Tuscany Village, Rise Up Bakery isn’t just a local spot for baked goods—it’s a destination for world-class laminated dough. While the bakery offers an array of treats, from massive cinnamon rolls to specialty bars, the true masterpiece of this friendly neighborhood shop is, without a doubt, the croissant.
The classic Butter Croissant is the benchmark of any true artisan bakery, and Rise Up’s rendition is perfection. It achieves that impossible trinity: a shatteringly crisp exterior, an impossibly airy, honeycombed interior, and a rich, pure butter flavor that lingers just long enough. It’s the kind of pastry that demands to be eaten immediately, leaving a glorious mess of golden flakes on the plate.
Rise Up has earned viral fame for their incredible Croissant Wheels. These inventive, filled, and topped creations—like the Creme Brulee Croissant Wheel or the seasonal Pumpkin Spice version—showcase the sheer versatility of their flawless dough. They offer a unique, dessert-level indulgence while maintaining the structural integrity and flakiness of a true croissant.
Rise Up Bakery consistently delivers quality that genuinely justifies the claim: these are the best croissants in Arizona, period. If you are anywhere near Higley and Guadalupe, do yourself a favor and rise up to this bakery’s exceptional standards.
Worth every dang calorie! (We also grabbed a fancy brownie and roll to go for our elderly family to enjoy!) y’all come enjoy the ambiance and flavors at Rise Up Bakery!
Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite desserts and the reason I started coming to this bakery. They have different flavors and they always hit.
My favorite is the maple bacon cinnamon roll. Lemon glaze cookie, sticky bun, original cinnamon roll, all the croissants, are always rotation for me. When I have money I spend way too much of it here but it’s worth every penny!
They have so many baked goods I really recommend coming and trying a little bit of everything.
I had the chocolate chip cookie & their signature cookie, which is the OverAchiever cookie. This has oats, chocolate chips, coconut, pretzels, & corn flakes. The OverAchiever cookie is crunchy, chewy, salty, & sweet.
I also had the Orange Roll & a ham & cheese croissant.
The sparkling lemonade topped it all off. The bill was about $25. I don’t know if that’s considered good or bad, but all of this was of excellent quality.
I’d come back to try the seasonal pumpkin pastries. They were out of some of them by the time we got there at 1:00 so go early or you’ll miss out.
Amazing desserts-the blueberry lemon rolls and cinnamon rolls were divine. The lemon bars were wonderful.
They have sandwiches as well. We had the Italian and it did not disappoint.
The ladies we met there were all very nice, with prompt and friendly service.
Great place!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I’ll absolutely be back to explore more of their baked goods.
