Reviews
Second visit small portions for the hot pot lunch with smaller portions of bulgogi and chapjae and side dishes seemed a day or two old. Not so impressed on a Sat as the first customers.$77 plus tip for a $17 meal in Korea for the same food. Sad facts.
The first time, my friend and I came about one hour before closing. We understand it was late, but when we entered, the woman at the front did not greet us at all. She only pointed at a table and told us to sit down, then immediately said we needed to order and eat quickly because they were closing soon. Even so, during our first visit, we still left a tip.
The second visit was much worse. The staff was rude again, and when we asked for a to-go box for our leftovers, she laughed instead of responding politely. While we were still eating, she brought the bill and kept coming back to our table several times asking if we were ready to pay. Each time we said “not yet” because we were still eating. She then laughed and asked “why,” which was very inappropriate and made us extremely uncomfortable.
Because of this attitude, we did not want to leave an extra tip this time. The bill already included an automatic gratuity, so we paid the exact amount shown. However, before we left, another older woman came over and told us we had to pay an additional 10% tip. We clearly said we did not want to add more, but she insisted it was mandatory. In the end, we were forced to pay an extra $7 on a $120 bill for only 5 dishes.
DO NOT COME HERE. THIS PLACE DOES NOT RESPECT ITS CUSTOMERS!
FOOD
They serve a lot of banchan (Korean side dishes) with entrees, so it’s a fun time if you like to try a lot of different things.
My go to orders are the seaweed roll as well as the bulgogi! Lunch to go here is packaged with care and portions are good.
I wasn’t really into the soybean soup though since the flavor isn’t strong enough for my palate. It’s good if you’re looking for something mild and soothing.
SERVICE
Service here is fast and personable. The ladies will help answer any questions if you ask. Also, they helped point out which items were spicy for my gridn that has zero spice tolerance so you’re in good hands with them.
