This was my boyfriend and I’s first time. The food and drinks were delicious! The atmosphere was fun and lively. Our server, Johanna, was amazing! She was so friendly, timely and answered all of my menu questions. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Johanna for a great first time eating here!

I really wanted to like this place overall. Some positives were that the calaveras (skeletons) around the restaurant were very nicely painted, the heart-shaped wreath of flowers by the entrance is very inviting, and bar service/quality is pretty good. The place seems to be great for birthdays as well, they present a huge sign and sparklers at your table, livening up the vibes in the room.
After sitting at the bar for some time and anticipating a good meal, my friends and I headed over to table seating where things went downhill. The salsa that came with the chips on the house was tasty and spicy to my liking, but they never gave us any plates to eat it, even when the queso came out with it. I then ordered another mojito which was very salty, unlike the balanced and flavorful mojito I had over at the bar. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and specifically said only that – no mention of beef or any other type of chimichanga, and I was served a beef one. It didn’t take more than a single bite for me to determine that it was beef, and my friend who actually eats red meat also took a bite and confirmed that to me.
I then told our waiter, who took away the beef chimichanga and replaced it with the chicken one I initially ordered within the span of less than 10 minutes. I initially thought this was a positive as it reflected the dedication they had to fixing the problem, but the chicken chimichanga genuinely tasted like something I could microwave at home. Along with that, we asked for another basket of chips to eat with the remaining salsa and queso, which we never received.
We finally asked for the check and noticed that I was getting charged for the chicken chimichanga I ordered, despite getting the wrong meal initially and then getting served what genuinely seemed to be a very rushed dish. So my friends and I asked the waiter if he could remove it from the bill, which he thankfully did.
I normally don’t write detailed reviews like this but felt like doing so with this place – I was really hyped up about it since it looked beautiful inside and reviewed favorably by many locals on both this app and Reddit. The only reason I’d recommend this place is for the bar area and for any birthday plans.

If I could rate more than 5 stars for service I would. Marina was so attentive, fast in service, and knowledgeable about the restaurant. I hope she’s here every time we come in! We will be back because of the experience she & her coworkers provided us.

The atmosphere could be a little noisy when they come out to celebrate a birthday or whatever people ask to celebrate. But it is very entertaining to see. I really loved it here that I had to visit twice! The chips and salsa were super delicious. The dishes that had the diablo salsa were a little spicy, but if you are a Latino and like that, then it won’t be too spicy for you. All the dishes look so tasty and definitely recommend eating here.

My first time here, the food is delicious! I wasn’t sure about steak with pineapple, it’s their Don Tequila Steak. It is grilled steak, grilled shrimp and pineapple. Topped with Pico De Gallo and cheese sauce. Also with served some sides. Steak was so tender and shrimp grilled to perfection. The addition of the pineapple was a pleasant surprise. It cleansed you palette in preparation of the next bite of the tender and juicy steak. The flavors were outstanding across the board. I don’t get excited about much, as you see from some of my reviews very few places I rave about. This one is one that’s on top of my list! I am still amazed by the pineapple with steak the sweet and savory kicks you taste buds into overdrive. I will going back to try the Quesadilla which sounds good. I wish I had taken a picture of my plates to show the amount of food and how tasty it looked. If near Wolf Rd in Albany, stop by and try it yourself. If you leave hungry that’s your fault. Brought the family this time and they loved it. They were so stuffed they took half their meals home. It was a special occasion to celebrate a birthday and engagement so it was a win-win! This time I waited long enough to take a few pictures. Pictures is Don Tequila awesome steak dinner and some of their tacos! Had a live band playing as well so it was an enjoyable night.
