Opened in the summer of 2017 by owner Jack Hornung, the goal of the Cask + Cow was to bring something new to Lewiston. He wanted to open a creative, casual place with a unique menu of fresh, flavorful ingredients that would compliment the amazing collection of restaurants along Center St. A Burger seemed like the perfect canvas to have some fun. He spent months sampling different choices of beef, rolls, cheeses, etc. before we found our signature Burger. Then he started to throw random toppings on them, some traditional, some way outside the box until he found the perfect mix. He added some amazing appetizers, salads and sandwiches and our menu was complete. The restaurant features a full service bar, dining room, patio and great service

We loved this restaurant. Always give them 5 *. Been loyal customers for years. But… What we had today was not good enough even for the cheapest roadside eatery. So frustrating and our hearts are broken. The chicken (Chicken Adriana) was ridiculously terrible (died of natural causes?). Everything else was even worse. What happened to you our friends? Did you change the chef? Has the management changed?
The service and atmosphere were great as always. But the food was so frustrating.
I think we’ll be back. In a little while. To make sure it was just an unfortunate accident. And I will change my review back to 5 *. But for now, we need to digest all of this.
P.S. I would also suggest a somewhat richer beer selection.

Figured we would try this place while in town for a fishing trip. We arrived at 6:45 pm it was not busy at least 5 empty tables. Hostess seated us and the waitress took our drink order. Roughly 7 minutes later she brought our drinks and took our order.
After 47 minutes later I asked the hostess if she can locate our waitress. A few minutes later our waitress brought out our food and stated sorry the bathroom overflowed and I had to clean it up.
We ordered 2 steaks with mac / cheese and a white pizza flatbread. The steaks were very thin,overcooked and just warm. Their mac//cheese was not very warm and had bacon bits sprinkled on top! My white pizza flatbread had what appeared to be Perdue chicken out of a bag and was ice cold.
Our waitress comes to the table and gives us the bill while we are still eating looks at us and says here is this even though I know you dont want it.
Never asked if we are interested in desert.
After 11 minutes pass I take the bill to the bar and asked if I could pay the bill there since our server has not returned.
The bar tender goes into the kitchen to find our server so I could pay the bill.
Our total was $102.56 and we left her $4 tip.
Awful service, nasty attitude and food was poor.
Plenty of other places in town that have much better food & service.
We will not return.

Cask+Cow has a great variety on their food + drinks menu. We ordered kale+mixed greens salad with steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the salad was good, except they could have chopped the kale into smaller chewable pieces. The asparagus “tempura” (more like onion ring batter) were delicious accompanied by a tasty BBQ/soy/mayo sauce. Highly recommend the black cherry cider, very refreshing.

I literally ate so much I made myself sick, the food is so delicious. When I saw the peaches and Brie burger I knew I had to come here. Ironically last week I was making burgers in San Francisco and had some sliced peaches and I thought “why not” and it was good so clearly, if it works do it and they did it PERFECTLY. The Elvis burger with bananas and peanut butter and jalapenos, I wish my stomach was bigger.

We stopped into Cask & Cow in Lewiston for an early Saturday dinner with the family, and everything hit the mark. My wife and I split the Pickle Tickle and Angry Bull burgers — both were packed with flavor and really creative. The fries and especially the onion rings were awesome, and our kids loved their grilled cheese from the kids’ menu. Portion sizes were generous, the pricing felt fair, and the cozy, family-friendly vibe made it an easy choice for dinner out.
Service was fast, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, and parking was simple — we just grabbed a spot across the street.

Food was great!
Staff was friendly and very attentive and helpful, she even gave us a place close by to grab ice cream for desert if we wanted it.
The restaurant was not too busy and the atmosphere was great.
Enjoyed the fact they had music in the background.
Definitely recommend you visit if in Lewiston area.

They have the best pepper dip ever I get it every time I come here! The service is always amazing, and the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. The restaurant is always clean, inviting, and has such a comfortable atmosphere. My family loves coming here it’s one of our favorite spots!

Cask + Cow is a great spot to hang out and grab a bite to eat. You can meet great people from out of town and hang with locals too. Tony is the best bartender and Camille is the best waitress. Highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat at Cask + Cow!
