Come hungry. The food is plentiful and the flavors are spot on. Our sushi roll was massive. A meal within itself. The ramen delivered on all levels. My only disappointment was their hot green tea. Saying that, skip the tea and have a deliciously filling meal. It will not disappoint.

I’m always looking for a new spot for sushi and ramen- this one was a hit! They were super busy on a random Thursday night – which is a good sign, lots of people wanted to dine here!
It was extremely freezing on this particular night, so sitting by the door was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that – everything was great!
The food was incredible and the hot sake and beer were just perfect. We will be back for sure.

I love love love OMO. My friends and I go there all the time for a nice warm bowl of delicious ramen. Their sushi is also great with many different options. They also have a lunch bento box meal which is so cute. I’m also surprised by how good their boba is. There aren’t many options to choose from but the boba is pretty good. All in all I love this place and if you come here their ramen is a MUST try.

The people working tonight were very accommodating, and the service just felt exemplary. Great music selection, they played Mac Ayers at one point so that was tight!
My hot sake seemed to never end and the Miso Ramen was so thoughtfully crafted- I am relieved to not be pumped with salt like other ramen restaurants.
Good food and for a reasonable price Try it or miss out!

We ate here July 6, 2025, exploring more affordable sushi options in KC. I had sushi, and my wife had ramen. Her bowl of ramen was about 30 percent corn, like the kind you buy in the frozen food section. It was WAY TOO MUCH corn, and gave it all too much of a sweet flavor. This is a very cheap filler that doesn’t work well.
The sushi was okay, not good enough for us to return.
The restaurant was very slow on this day, and yet our service was equally slow (darned cellphones keeping the staff “busy”).
We’re disappointed that a place so close to us wasn’t good enough for us to visit again.
It’s also not much cheaper than other, much better sushi restaurants in town.

Our visit to Ono Japanese Ramen & Sushi was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered the Black Tonkatsu Ramen, Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Gyoza (fried dumplings) — paired with a cold Kirin Ichiban and refreshing peach soju. Everything impressed us.
The Black Tonkatsu Ramen came with a savory pork broth enriched by house garlic oil, layered with tender sliced pork, half an egg, bean sprouts, scallions, corn, bok choy, and seaweed paper. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.
The Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen elevated the classic tonkatsu base with house spicy paste. The broth had just the right kick — bold and warming but not overpowering. The fresh toppings balanced it out perfectly, and the portion size was generous.
The Shrimp Tempura Roll was a highlight — crisp, batter-fried shrimp with cucumber, crab, and avocado, finished with a drizzle of sauce. Fresh, well-portioned, and beautifully presented.
The Gyoza were golden and crisp on the outside with juicy, savory filling inside — a classic side dish that paired well with everything else.
Between the flavorful ramen, fresh sushi, satisfying sides, and the drinks, Ono delivered across the board. Service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and the presentation made every dish feel special.

Absolutely LOVE this sushi place!! Aesthetic is on point. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious. The ambiance of this space was really calm and relaxing. Each roll tasted fresh and flavorful. This was my second visit and it did not disappoint!

I ordered the grilled eel for pickup and it was absolutely delicious! The eel was cooked to perfection and the fried egg and tofu were the ideal pairings for this dish. The portion was generous and I didn’t think I could finish the entire serving but I ended up eating every morsel of it. It’s been an extremely long time since I felt this satisfied after a meal. The staff were pleasant and had my order ready by the time I arrived. I highly recommend this dish if you’re like me and feel there’s never enough eel when ordering eel sushi rolls.

It was my first time here. I tried the miso ramen and the mango sago smoothie! I was very pleased with what I ordered! The broth was flavored just right. I have tried so many other ramen places and the broth was always so salty. I will definitely go back and try other things on the menu! The service was wonderful! It was a very nice and quiet atmosphere on a Wednesday afternoon.

We came here for my birthday and it was such a beautiful experience our server was so very kind and attentive the atmosphere was so mellow I love jazz I love the fact they had jazz playing in the background and I love the fact that they have low lights like a real ambiance environment. I’m plant-based so they have plenty of plant-based options. I ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer a cucumber sushi roll and some ramen . All were very delicious fresh, no complaints. We got a glass of wine some Merlot & it was excellent.
