Starbucks can be a hit or miss situation. This one was a hit. Not only did they get the orders right, they were delicious, and they were quick getting them out. I stopped here at 6 am then on the way home at 7 pm for a day trip so was very tired and they were consistent with service and getting the drink right. Going to be my go to on our monthly trips upstate.

I understand being busy. Starbucks is popular. But disappointed when after waiting in the drive through for over 20 minutes I decide to go in to get my pick up drink because it sent a notification it was ready, I walk up to the pick up area & wait for a minute because I don’t want to be bothersome, I’m asked the name for pick up and when I tell him he walks over by the drive thru window area and grabs my drink and comes back sits in on the table while rolling his eyes. Yes I put drive through on the app order bc I intended to use the drive thru so I think he may be frustrated because of that? I only came inside because I was in line for over 20 minutes it was barely moving and my notification said my drink was ready. My 1 year old was screaming in the backseat tired of being still as well. Well the interaction ruined my mood & makes me not even want my drink anymore. I’ve worked in customer service for years & I get having a rough or busy day but I would never act like that or let me customers see my frustration. Guess I’ll stick to the Starbucks on the other side of town or one of the smaller coffee shops. Also my drink was supposed to have extra caramel and also cup lined in caramel & there was barely any.

The hot sugar free vanilla latte I order is always great. I like their pastries, but I’m not a big fan of the other food items. They remember my name and the app is nice. I go when it is not so crowded, so the service is quick. On this day I took in a smoked sausage biscuit from Dodges to eat.

Great location. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Seating inside & out. I always get a Cafe Mocha. This particular location makes one of the best. My son loves the iced coffees. My mom just likes dark roast coffee. All are made to perfection. Staff is very friendly.

Came in Christmas Eve morning while back home in Tupelo visiting family
They were busy but not as busy as I’ve seen in the past. No one greeted us or came to the register after looking up to see us standing there rehearsing our coffee orders and making sure to get the order of the words to our individual orders correct (like most of us do). Anyway. We waited 45 seconds to one minute of an awkward standoff with employees who continually glanced up at us and we made eye contact with. No words spoken. We just exchanged fake smiles and glances. Super weird while we wait for the young man to come sliding up to the register like Cramer from Seinfeld entering Jerry’s apartment.
No apologies. No hello. Nothing. We just jumped straight into ordering. Fine. No big deal.
The renovation in the establishment (not sure when they did it…I was probably living elsewhere at the time), caused horrible acoustics and my ears to ring the entire time we waited for our 2 americanos. Kids’ squeals at one of the tables filled the Starbucks and were almost unbearable. Don’t get me wrong, kids are great- West Main Starbucks’ acoustics? Not so much.
There were MAYBE two people waiting for their coffees in front or us…or so we thought. Everyone was sitting down while they waited. While waiting 15-20 minutes for our coffees, I saw 4 customers come back for their orders being incorrect and then having to wait in line all over again as their orders were made again. Sitting at the table, I noticed how filthy the prep station was-including the counter where customers pick up their orders.
At the 12 minute mark, my boyfriend went to ask for our money back (we needed to get back home to make breakfast for family). After waiting for someone to come back to the register, a refund was asked for. The batista said our order was coming up.
The only batista making in-house drinks announced the next 3 orders being worked on. Ours was second. Great. But it wasn’t really. Two orders were called before ours. No big deal. At this point, we were over waiting and regretted not ordering a simple Pike Place coffee. Would we still have to wait for that or would the barista taking orders have gotten it and handed it over like normal? I wonder.
Doesn’t matter. I couldn’t help but notice that the regular crew wasn’t working yesterday morning. Maybe that’s why the experience was so terrible?
In total, Starbucks on West Main is no longer the cozy, comfy place we used to hang out in and enjoy coffee and time with friends.
Word to the wise: If you’re in town and want to grab a coffee, skip this Starbies or hop in the drive thru line- it always look long, but boy is it faster! That line cleared out three times while we waited for our weak coffees.

Normally I have a good experience at Starbucks, but not at this one. I ordered a drink and was very specific about getting light ice with my green matcha tea. When my drink arrived, it was FULL of ice, clear to the TOP, and I asked if this was light ice, and they looked at me and confirmed it was. I asked again, because clearly it was NOT light ice, and they said yes. I couldn’t believe they looked mt straight in the eye and said that. This happened through the drive thru. I came inside to get some egg white bites I forgot to order and saw the young lady that took my order and confirmed it was light ice. She looked at me with angry eyes. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. I just blew it off that she was probably having a bad day. Bottom line, she should’ve done something to fix my drink. She had an attitude and I did not appreciate it.

The staff are extremely friendly, however the service is very slow. Expect to wait inside for at least 20 minutes. They put mobile orders over people who order inside. Didn’t used to be like this and it’s disappointing. Starbucks do better.
