TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I recently visited this restaurant and was truly impressed. The chicken tenders were absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot-on, and each bite was full of flavor. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If you love high-quality chicken tenders, this place is definitely a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is one of my favorite chain chicken places. They’re generous with their seasoning and the sauce is good. In this visit they gave us free food, so a plus for me. I like the spice level and how you can choose it, even if the spiciness is inconsistent. The drink is pretty expensive though.

Nice first try. Got the sliders with “cheese fries”. I put parentheses because they just drizzled some cheese on the fries but there was almost no cheese on it. Lol. Fries were very tasty tho even without the cheese. Sliders were decent. Tasty, chicken was a little small and I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be cold but they definitely weren’t hot. It was a great experience overall tho. The people were super friendly. I forgot the blond hair girls name but she was awesome. Definitely worth another visit to explore the menu a little more. Can’t wait to go back.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding the coleslaw. I was a bit surprised by the portion size, especially given the price of $3.59. I was expecting a larger serving, as I chose it to ensure my sandwich wouldn’t get soggy. The container received feels quite small, similar to the size usually used for condiments like ketchup or mustard. I would really appreciate if there could be a bit more for that price, as I believe a larger portion would better meet expectations. Thank you for your understanding.

The place is a total dump, the outside is overflowing with trash and not being cleaned regularly. The food is below par, we got some old fried chicken and the taste from the fryer was old oil and stank. My kids didn’t eat it and we ended up wasting our money a time on this place. Skip it…

Full disclosure I have been ordering Dave’s Hot Chicken on DoorDash constantly. But imagine my surprise on my way from the gym to discover one on the way home. Determined to not break my fast early I weight the pros and cons. Though given my intense lift session I knew my gains needed to be fed. So at 9 hours and 54 minutes I broke my 13 hour fast and ordered a meal full of greatness for the gains. The medium heat in the tenders is immaculate , drizzle a little honey and it’s lip smacking good. The slaw instead of fries didn’t cost me any extra and served to provide some kale and fiber to add to the nutritional value of this meal. As a bonus the tenders come served on two pieces of white bread for you to make an impromptu sandwich. Sure wheat bread would have been preferred but given the hour long session at the church of iron from whence I came, I know my gains are satisfied regardless. In summary, Dave’s Hot Chicken continues to knock it out of the park with their quality. 10/10 will return and keep ordering on DoorDash for those days I want to stay inside.

A few years of anticipation for Dave’s Hot Chicken was well worth it. The sliders and fries were deliciously flavorful and surprisingly complex, with generous portions that were filling. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, and the entire experience was made even better by Tytiana’s warm and helpful service. Can’t wait to go back!

The chicken is good but the fries were made in more than a day old oil and the drink fountain needs a cleaning.
Edit: Got the bites yesterday just by themselves but they gave me fries anyway so I gave them another try, didn’t have the bitter oil taste and were very crispy! Will update on the drink machine soon, didn’t get one last time.

Service is incredibly slow. Took twenty minutes to get my food. They weren’t even busy. There was trash all over the tables and there was a guy from corporate doing an audit. You’d think they’d be doing extra good work with corporate being there but apparently not.
