Young lady in drive thru was rude I can tell she does not have patience. My mom usually does not order from cookout and asked about vegetables by the end of the Oder you can tell she was frustrated. When we got to the window I asked for sauce a received no sauce and no napkins. When giving my mom back her change a dollar dropped on the ground she said sorry and closed the window . I have worked in fast food and clearly she is just there for the paycheck. I don’t know her name but for management purposes it was November 23 about 1:30 a.m.

Ok so the past two visits were horrible. I usually go to the Cook Out on Reynolda where the food is great and the service is decent.
On Sunday 10/19/25 I was greeted at the speaker by someone using a heavy and stereotypical racist “Asian” accent. I repeated my order several times. I asked them to please stop being racist and take my order. The same person stopped using that voice and told me it was a new employee that didn’t speak much English I’m just trying to get my kid a cookout tray.
Today10/26 I went through again. The same kid (extremely heavy dark skinned male with very unkempt dreads) was playing on the speaker, messing my order up on purpose, repeating things back incorrectly, using the accent again, so I drove up to the window to see what the issue was. It was the same guy playing around, he started yelling at me in front of my sons that everyone was on break and I could leave. So I did. And I’ll never go back.

Stop filling up the Quesadilla sauce containers half full. They get bigger at the top and smaller at the bottom so you are essentially giving me 1/4 a cup for $1 each by doing that. Absolutely ridiculous!

Awesome messy burgers, but they almost never put napkins in the bag. I was like, man, you know these burgers are messy, but no napkins??? Other than that, great drive thru experience

The lady who is working the window tonight was rude and kept slamming the window in my face without providing me with my full order. Finally get my order and you can smell the old grease on the fries through the bag.

Seem to be a slow day however I ensure to call my order back to make sure there wasn’t no mistakes. Seems like my effort didn’t take me far, asked for cajun fries which is noted on the receipt and somehow managed to get regular fries which have been sitting for a while (not fresh) Only got 3 nuggets which were overly cooked. Gave 3 stars for the receiving my order in a timely manner however if I known that my order wasn’t going to be correct I wouldn’t have mind waiting a little longer!

I dont hate it it’s just cuz the food sucks. I’d recommend hire new people who know how to make food better. Not tryna to be mean tho.
The staff is cool.
Idk how the inside looks but I wish for every cookout to have a dine in.

If your close to this cookout you’re most likely close enough to the other cookout on Akron drive which is 100%better. But if you must go here you would do best to keep your order short & simple and doublecheck it before leaving. pretty much every time I go to this cookout I wish I went somewhere else. I feel like the crew wished the same on my most recent visit(8/24/2025@2:00pm) since my food was poorly made and the lady at the window was a bit rude.
Normally I could care less about a cashier’s attitude but the whole “restaurant” has this ugly demeanor and poor work ethic and it’s reflected in my order every single time.
Now cookout on Akron Dr, Winston-Salem: straight . Just drive 3-4 more minutes and spend at this one

Just went through drive thru and ordered a double burger with only cheese bacon and chili.. The guy answering the speaker called it back to me a couple times and had it right. When I got my burger still has onions and slaw on it.. wrong.. 🙁

Pass this location up! After my 3rd straight unpleasant experience here, I see that poor customer service and poorly cooked food is the norm for this location. This past Sun, at about 5:45 pm, I coldly received 3 napkins after I had already received my food (for 2 people) and had to wait for about 30 seconds for her to open the window back up to see what I needed. Since she didn’t include any in the 1st place, I didn’t see the issue with giving me some at that point. Top that off with receiving a crunchy( I kid you not) 1/4 lb cheeseburger, a sloppily dressed hot dog, and no ketchup for our fries and onion rings, and I have to say this is enough. Stay on US 52 for a few more miles and choose a different location!
