Tonight was the final straw. My fiancé called twice to clearly explain how we wanted the pizza, yet the same issue happened again. When she called back, the employee argued with her, insisting the pizza was white when it clearly wasn’t (as shown in the photo uploaded). From where I stand, a business should never argue with a customer, especially when they are clearly wrong.
Customer service was extremely disappointing—there was no attempt to fix the mistake or offer any solution. On top of that, they forgot our drink from our online order, and I had to send my brothers back again—not only for the soda, but after already picking up a pizza that wasn’t cooked as requested.
The only positive is that they’re open late, which may be convenient, but that’s about it. Overall, a very frustrating experience. I do not recommend this place at all.
The issues started with their delivery drivers. In the beginning, it was just one driver inappropriately demanding a larger tip for having to take an elevator to my door. We also only live 1 mile from the store. He got confrontational and threatened to leave the food in the lobby next time if the tip did not increase. The next few times we ordered, we consistently tipped $3-$4 but when he was our driver it was never enough. We called to complain as each confrontation was always worse than the last. The staff always provided sympathy to the driver and never any resolution, especially when we demanded we never get assigned to him again.
The issues with the delivery drivers didn’t stop there. The drivers carry a portable card reader to pay debit and use their phone to sign the receipt, place a tip, or email you the receipt. Before Inputting the amount they’ll ask “ do you want to put a tip on the card?” There were too many times I would get their final statement on my banking app and it wouldn’t match the total price of the food + the tip I verbally said. Too many drivers are expecting you not to enter your email to receive the full copy of the receipt. This is how they’ve been able to add a couple extra $$ to the tip without you noticing. Too many times, have I seen a driver correct the total after I’ve requested to be sent a receipt. At this point, we were all but finished ordering delivery directly from the store via phone.
We then attempted to use their door dash option to remove their drivers completely from the experience. We noticed our orders were increasingly being overcharged for ancillary objects, like ranch, cheese, and dinner rolls. I remember ordering an extra set of meatballs for $8 and extra cheese. The meatballs were left out. We called to complain and were told it was accidentally left out but “because we got extra cheese that wasn’t charged, it evens out to the cost of the meat balls.” absolutely ridiculous because there is no amount of cheese for pasta that could equate to $8. We get two regular salads, and dinner rolls that usually come out to $39-$45, we were charged $60 one night. We requested a refund and were told the manager would contact us in the morning. No call, nothing the next day. We called back and were told there was no note to back up our claim. I was beyond furious and disappointed not with the amount lost but because of how many times we have been screwed over by them.
As a final attempt, we even tried ordering delivery on their online website as the tip can be automatically placed onto the order under your control without any ambiguity on the final price. The special instructions or additional items purchased were ignored blatantly and we were still charged those fees. Receiving a refund for the missing items purchased became a myth and a running joke in my household.
Lastly, the inconsistency of their pricing for ancillary items like dinner rolls cheese, and ranch became the final straw for us. We would order the same dinner rolls on three separate nights and pay three separate prices. For the most part, their food is pretty good, and I believe that is the reason why we continue to give them a chance and look for reasons to stay. Also being open late is beneficial for us. But lately they have not been following directions with our orders, and their freshness of ingredients has started to fall behind. But bottom line, their food on their best day is not worth the headache. From beginning to end this place is PAIN. Talking to them on the phone, arguing with drivers, random pricing, missing items, and then the quality of what you receive….ONE BIG NIGHTMARE
There are other pizza places open late in this area that can provide the same quality of food if not better. We moved on to Vincent’s Pizza in the new year and never looked back. We should have moved on sooner. Save yourself the headache and look for dinner somewhere else.
It has one bathroom which is not clean most nights. They need to clean it more often plus make another bathroom.
Perhwps a vestibule can be the answer for the cold. Wind blows in the door. I tell them often abd managers howvcoldbit is there, with no improvement. They generate alit of income there to heat the place better and to make me feel heard. I made fooddm suggestions that the night guys never listened to either about acsalad Ivwabtedvthen to made and certain seafood dishes. I feel they don’t act like a customer matters there. Customers pay their salary.
