WOW!!! some of the best birria tacos i’ve ever had!!!! not only was my order ready for pick up in 10 mins, but the flavor and quality was amazing. all the sauces were good, but the birria sauce was 10/10, seasoned to perfection. I literally had a spiritual awakening eating these tacos
the queso pupusaa were also delicious. cole slaw was crunchy and fresh.

moldy cheese and dusty interior. idk. they clean the tables w the same cloth they use for the chairs. that’s kind of gross. the older server is also pretty rude. this place used to be so good. now they serve old soggy cabbage with their food. i haven’t had a good meal from this place for a while, and the moldy cheese was my last straw. don’t go here unless you want to gamble on your health.

Being from SoCal, we have plenty of top tier Mexican Food. El Taco Guapo is so good. We ordered the asada plate, Pollo Asado Plate, Birria Tacos and a Asada Torta. Everything was so good and flavorful. The consomme for the Birria was delicious. The torta was very tasty. I highly recommend this place.

Have been eating here for the past couple years and would usually get the same thing. Today i decided to try something new being these mini fried tortillas with beef and cabbage. I like all the ingredients used so figured id try it. Did not like it at all. When I told the server I expected some sort of “im sorry could I get you anything else?” or something of compensation but instead was met with a rude response and attitude “Why would you try something youve never had?” Im sorry? I guess im not allowed to try new things now? Was not compensated or offered any sort of refund. They have a bad attitude problem here that ive ignored for a bit since the food i usually get is decent, but no more.
If you dine in here, just be prepared for servers with attitude.

Well, a friend of mine suggested me to try it and every time that I have a day off I just can’t resist the temptation to go back. Favorite thing, Carne Asada with Rice and Fresh avocado… wow!

In the last 10 years or so there have been a lot of Mexican restaurants that have popped up in the city of Lawrence In my experience this is by far the best. Diona is actually from Guatemala therefore it really is central American food including tacos, papusas, gringas and delicious combination plates. The food is always extremely fresh the owner is always present, The keep their employees for long periods of time which keeps the food and consistently good. I highly recommend El Taco Guapo
