Andrew was so amazing the service best in sacramento the food was fresh service was quick he gave every bit of information we needed and wanted will come back only if he works here he deffinently deserves a raise fam food tasted great too thanks chef i got the slow cooked beef short ribb on top of the mac an cheese with the jalapeno grilled cheese sandwhich with a bread bowl and the butternut squash soup my wife tot the famous clam chowder with the pesto chicken sandwhich try my sandwhich mix its so fire thanks fam feb 15th 2026 sunday.

The sandwiches were so good and I loved the vibes. Unfortunately my sourdough bread from the turtle was cute, but def has been out and was stale so I didn’t really get to enjoy it. Otherwise, super yummy!

Boudin has amazing food and I love coming here whenever I’m in the area; however, after the bad experience today I will no longer be coming back. There is a pet store in the same shopping center and whenever I need to pick something up for my puppy we head over to Boudin to grab some food to go. I have brought her with me every single time, she’s a small chihuahua mix so I always carry her in a carrier bag. It had never been a problem until today. I walked in as usual with her in my bag and a server (Caucasian man with glasses and curly hair in a ponytail) informed me only service dogs were allowed in the restaurant. I asked if I could just get my food to go as always and he just gave me a dirty look and said nothing. This had never been a problem before and I was appalled by his lack of respect and simply told him never mind thank you. I understand and respect restaurant’s rules, I would never stay and eat with my dog inside the restaurant. We always pick up our food to go. If he had simply said no sorry or any other respectful response I would have happily left.

Was so happy to see that Boudin put the Crab Mac and Cheese back on the menu… I’ve been waiting for like ever…
When I saw it was back I ran right in and ordered it first off it’s now $19 (inflation) I guess and it comes in bowl 1/2 the size it once was.
The old crab Mac and cheese was more of a bake and was so delicious with a garlic butter type sauce and was always piping hot..
Was the absolute best thing to eat on a cold night…
The new one left a lot to be desired it tasted like velveta shells and cheese with canned crab thrown on it..
looks like all good things must come to an end.
Service was amazing though and the chocolate chip cookies never dissapoint.

incompetent people behind the register can’t get a simple order right. told the 12yr old child working TWICE i am allergenic to sliced multigrain i need sliced sourdough she confirmed both times. drove an hour home and realized its not. waste of money waste of time. hire competent people boudin

Wow, my friend and I were really impressed by our sandwiches. I didn’t think you could get such good sandwiches from a bakery. We are vegetarians and I had the tuna salad and they had the fig jam, apple, and cheese and both were just great. I also liked the ambiance of the place. The prices were reasonable. Sandwich came with choice of salad or chips. The salad was good and a good value. I’d go again! Great job, guys!
PS: there’s also sourdough pizza for pickup, but one has to get it through their website. Looking forward to trying that!

The combo meal with the soup and half sandwich is the perfect light lunch. The tuna was delicious but especially on the fresh sourdough. Sourdough croutons on the soup were a great touch. Tomato soup was super fresh and flavorful too. Great service, fast preparation, and tasty food!

Ordered online, it said order would be ready by 12:03. Was not ready till 12:10. I ordered the Asian chicken salad to go and there was no chicken. Also the greens were not fresh. Waste of $14.

While this place was enjoyable, it was pretty expensive and I unfortunately don’t think that I will be getting any food from here again.
My Clam Chowder bread bowl was about 10$, for what I got, that is a total ripoff. I even had to reseason it, as the flavor was very bland.
The sandwhich was good, but the bread was just not good. The outside took a lot of effort to even chew through and made eating the sandwich not enjoyable. I’m not sure if the bread was stale or what, but it just sucked. Meat, veggies, and cheese, however, were fresh and tasty. I ended up just eating that with bread of the same type from my own pantry instead. For the price of the sandwhich, that is not acceptable.
I’m sorry to say, you shouldn’t even try this place once. Subway is a better option, and subway sucks too.

I love Boudin and all the employees are very sweet here but please replace the water filters or whichever is causing the bad taste with the tap water.
