I went with my husband and the place was empty except for the waitress and the kitchen staff. Also a few random kids? The place has a strange smell. The menu is huge and almost all of the items are frozen. I ordered a French dip and the meat tasted like budding meat in the package. It was insanely hot absolutely frozen then microwaved. The biscuits and gravy again Sisco product no good. I won’t go back. However the place is packed for breakfast- so perhaps that’s the reason so many ppl rate it so high.

Husband and I were in the area and thought we’d try this place out, and it did not disappoint! The portions are awesome, they seem big but they were just right. The food was good! Service is prompt and the whole has a friendly vibe. 🙂 we will definitely come back!

This restaurant makes the best skillets hands down. I pay a distance fee just to get the melty goodness into my belly via doordash. I’m sure their other dishes are equally delicious, but I don’t order the other items as you can’t mess with perfection!

Ordered what was supposed to be the Mexican skillet. I received overcooked greasy hash browns. Chorizo that was undercooked. The cheese was watery and looked like plastic. I took one bite and instantly regretted it. Thought I’d just eat the toast, but the toast was stale. Also, my eggs were supposed to be over medium, and they were barely cooked “over easy”? Spent $19 for a stomachache.

The outside is kinda dumpy but the inside is clean with a classic diner look. Friendly staff with fair price. I ordered the meat skillet. My guest ordered a egg Benedict. I would recommend this place if you are near by.

To the owner….I’ve never seen such rudeness in all my life. Amanda (waitress) was snapping at the other waitresses, bossing them around and if that wasnt enough, she was fiddling with her hair and buttering toast, while wiping on her jean… DISTUSTING. I’m looking for a new breakfast spot…she is a horrible waitress..will tell all my freinds…

I’m telling you. Their Biscuits and gravy are by far my favorite from Busy Bee. I’ve tried so many other places in and around mchenry, and some are fine. But I love how Creamy and almost buttery these are. I get them every single time I go.
My husband loves that he can get lunch food while I stoll get my breakfast.
The skillets ate amazing and so is the chicken salad crescent (which is his temporary favorite)
