My standard order is Double Cooked Fish, Eggplant w/ Garlic sauce, stir fried green beans, and chicken lo mein for the kid. They hit every time!

Do note some of the quirks of this delicious place. They are closed Tuesdays and they close at 5 p.m. I guess the owners give weight to the work life balance as opposed to maximizing profit haha. The food here for most Chinese isn’t that it’s spectacular but that authentic food like this isn’t plentiful in the DC area. So if you’re in the mood for yummy beef noodles soup or hofan, this is a good place to go to. Maybe for takeout as the place is tiny and usually packed with a queue. BTW for fellow Fujian-ers, there is a nearby Fujian Resident Association (not sure yet what they do though).

Small location but lots of flavor and more traditional Chinese foods. The siu mai has little bits of shrimp and so much filling to wrapper ratio! Lovely beef chow fun—perfectly flavored and soy saucy, and good amount of beef! The pork buns are a bit of a skip though because it had too much breading, but it came out hot!

半顆菜心3刀 QAQ The noodle comes with half Bok Choi, and the other half costs me 3, 20% of the noodle price. The world is mad. Maybe I should have ordered the stir fry Bok Choi at this stage hh. I ate every single piece of scallion for my fiber.
牛雜湯粉。Beef tastes great. I didn’t expect tendon in the tripe bowl, but it is tender and goery with tendons. Wide noodles make me so happy. I don’t often opt for tripe. This one isn’t rubbery. The broth is light and not too salty.
腸粉 <3 Noodle crepe is delightful. I like the homely thickness and stickiness 厚厚黏黏w— almost like sticky rice, the smooth chewiness of which isn’t found in many shops.

To be fair, cash isn’t cheaper than ordering online using card.
Ended up with less than one dollar cheaper 🙂 but I happen to have just enough cash in this era, will fly out of the country, and just want to make people happy :)) and I am also happy despite the bok choi before leaving DC.

Wow — the rice noodle rolls here are incredible. Perfect silky-chewy texture, super fresh, and especially good dipped into the wonton soup broth. The shrimp and dried-shrimp scallion toppings were on point. Wontons were flavorful and comforting.

The noodle soup is delicious (the broth was so deliciously flavorful) and so was the lo mein. We visited this place based on reviews from others and were glad we did. Please consider that eating at this place is 100% about the delicious food. Yes, the place is small and they provide plastic ware, SO WHAT, the food is super flavorful and for the price point, it’s definitely worth it. Yes, I’ll be back if near Chinatown in D.C. (bring cash to save a bit on credit card prices).

This place is a hidden gem. They have the best homemade noodle in the DC metro area. I love the Shrimp Chow Fun. It is awesome. This place is very low key located on on 6th St. NW DC where it meets H St. NW in Gallery Place Chinatown. I had the Durian Pastry for dessert and it was excellent!

Delicious dumplings and noodles! Cash is highly preferred here but they do have a way to order on your phone (with slightly higher prices). Definitely stop by if you are in DC!

The BBQ pork steam rice roll is very tasty, but the beef chow fan is extremely oily with a burnt flavor. Perhaps dim sum is ok but not the fried dishes.

There are two steps to enter without railings as shown with a lightweight pull door. As a result, it probably is not accessible to most wheelchair users unless you can bump and hold the door open (as it opens towards you) simultaneously.

The food looked great, but I was pretty disappointed with the flavor. The meat in both the soup and the lo mein was very good, but everything else was bland. The broth in the noodle soup unfortunately had no flavor, and the lo mein noodles were just as tasteless. Overall, it was a rather disappointing meal
