We had a great time at Bangkok Alley! The red curry was flavorful, the Pad Thai was balanced, and the chicken satay was juicy. The Tom Yum was good, though I think it could use a bit more tanginess. The Crab Rangoon was crispy, and the Thai tea refreshing.
We loved the cozy ambience it’s very welcoming, and pet-friendly too, so we could bring our dog along. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid spot for authentic Thai flavors, though a few dishes could be slightly more flavorful for me.

Unfortunately, the food is not very good. Some dishes are served without ingredients that are listed on the menu. They probably just ran out of them. The worst dish was just plain noodles with sauce and a little green onion on top.

Did not enjoy this at all . I’m traveling on business and I’m Vegetarian so I chose this place . The Pad See Ew was dry and noodles were clumped together. There was no cabbage but tons of eggs . I would have much rather had cabbage if I had to choose . The fried rice was ok although I had a huge slice of tomato in it which was confusing to me. Unfortunately this did not work for me . Should have gone yo BK for the impossible burger.

Bangkok Alley was once one of my favorites in all of Memphis. However over the past two-ish years, both the experience and value have been on a steady decline. Walking in on a Friday night (1/16), there were a few open tables, people in line to be seated, and no host to be found. After waiting for more than a few minutes, the most dour, unpleasant, least happy hostess to ever work a stand finally sat us down. Our server, a kid who should probably be checked by the board of labor, eventually comes by.. eventually.. to stumble over apologies, nearly forgets to take our order, and then leaves for who knows how long. Eventually, our drinks and appetizer come out, the waiter almost leaves again without taking an order, and then disappears for basically the rest of dinner. My soup comes out later and cold. The food we ordered was just drowned in chili oil (we asked for mild spice, an option they offered) and basically unpalatable. We had intended to stick around over a dessert or another glass of wine, but after a literal 15 minutes of waiting, my partner finally rounds up the child waiter to get the check. I bet 70 percent of the things he said to us over the whole meal was ‘sorry, sorry, sorry…’ and it’s not even like we were unpleasant, he just knew that the whole experience was crap, and was genuinely sorry (PS – instead of apologizing, how about spending that time doing your job). And at 100 bucks for the meal overall, I could’ve spent half that much to go somewhere else to have at least at good an experience.
The whole experience was one that I will not repeat. You will get one more chance Bangkok Alley, but seriously, do better.

Soup was cold. The vegetables were not cooked.
I’ve never had Pad see ew prepared this way….
Didn’t taste bad but was not authentic.
Under staffed? Poor service. I’ll try another place next time.

Came here the other night with my husband and sat at the bar. Amy was super sweet and assistive when I couldn’t decide what beverage to order. The drunken noodles were great and perfect with steak. Definitely will be recommending and returning!

Very nice location. They were very busy with a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately, around the door area, it’s very busy and no where to wait while waiting for a table to become available. Location is small inside. Once seated, we were greeted quickly. After we ordered, or server didn’t check in with us again. She only said something when she brought out the food, which took an extremely long time. Fortunately the meal was great. Everything was hot and made fresh. I will definitely be back.

Delicious and never disappointing. I like how their taste is similar to some Indian recipes with coconut flavor.
I tried their naan. Of course, it’s not really like naan but more like pita bread, but the chicken curry is impressive.
Definitely a gold star Thai restaurant!

The host and waitress ( Aura) were both very kind. The food wasn’t Thai spicy. Flavorful but no spice. I requested 7/10 spice and it had no kick. Maybe I should go 10/10 to get real spice. I love authentic Thai food and am used to a very spicy andsweet balance.
The calamari was slightly overcook which gives a chewy texture. Calamari can be unforgiving since it just needs a light cook.
Fish was cook well.
Drinks were great! Good overall just a little tweaks.

I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken in the restaurant and 2 days later, I ordered the Pad Thai with no meat through Postmates/Uber Eats pickup. The dishes appear vastly different. The dine-in experience featured a much more colorful dish. The pickup order was somewhat bland. For clarity, I split half the dish than what is shown. But there were no red peppers or broccoli. Anyway, they could do a better job of acknowledging people when they enter their establishment. A quick, “just a moment” can go very far.
