Went here the other day just to try it and was super impressed! I got the crispy pork katsu sandwich with fries and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I forgot to take a picture but as an appetizer we had the garlic Parmesan buffalo wings and they had to be some of the best wings I’ve ever had. The cocktail I had was also pretty strong, but in a good way, and it was a pretty good cocktail.
The service was a little on the slower side but we didn’t mind because there was only one server and they were working the bar too. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back again!

First of all, I’m a sucker for anything with “tavern” in the name, and this is exactly what a local tavern should be. A warm, cozy bar up front, and a casual but comfortable dining room in the back. Lots of good drinks, plenty of appetizer options and well-executed comfort food — my steak frites was excellent.

The best fish tacos I have ever had. Definitely worth the trip. The wings were Belle and Evans with there own tasty take on buffalo. My son who’s picky gave the burger a thumbs up. Added bonus the Guiness is a proper pour.

Fantastic! Sat at the bar this evening with my lady. I had the mac and cheese with blackened chicken added and she had the half roasted chicken marsala. I had a bite of hers and both dishes were awesome! She didn’t have a bite of mine because cheese gives her the poops. Drinks were great and the service and atmosphere were top notch. Love this place! Cheers and great job!

Often forgotten because of the location but really good food and drink menu. If you’re a beer lover they usually have 1 or 2 fox farms on draft as well as something from new park. The Italian sandwich with roasted pork and broccoli rabe was delicious as was my fiancés short rib grilled cheese. Big portions, excellent friendly service, highly recommend this place.

It was our first time trying Birch Hill Tavern and it did not disappoint. We stopped in for lunch and everything from the service to the food will have us return. I opted for soup of the day and the chopped kale salad with chicken. The soup was delicious, as was the salad. My only disappointment with the salad is the menu calls it chopped but the pieces of kale were large with many stems attached making it hard to eat. The additional chicken added was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and LOVED it!!

They recently hired a new chef that has elevated their food. I recall coming a year ago, and years before that and it’s changed overtime, but this new chef had me back 3 times this week. She is truly talented and seems to be on track to making this place one of the best options anyone will have for dining in the area. The special was fantastic with homemade pasta ragu pappardelle, with basil ricotta and I genuinely haven’t had something that well made in a long time.
It was delicate, flavorful, and just felt like home. She clearly cares and takes pride in the food.
If you haven’t eaten here in a while, or are looking for something that will satisfy you, pleasantly surprise you, with good food to good people and great drinks, give Birch Hill Tavern a go. You won’t regret it.

Birch Hill Tavern is a local favorite. Their menu has options for everyone, the cocktail menu is small but each drink is well crafted and balanced. The staff (and owner) are wonderful and care so much about creating a good experience for each diner. Highly recommend visiting them any night of the week!
