TOTALLY the move!! Drive by it, walk by it for work, seen it and never stopped. Not only do I regret never going, but I’ll DEFINITELY be BACK!! The karaoke is more like a talent show, art all over, I’m pretty sure some local art too. The Grüv Fries need to be had with the cheese sauce, and these chicken & waffles are the best I’ve ever had. Last, certainly not least and honestly probably the MOST IMPORTANT PART…our server Brooke. She is nice, polite, very friendly and really facilitated a fantastic time. The Grüv is The MOVE and we WILL be back!!

Arrived shortly after a hockey team. There was only 1 bartender/ server but that did not slow him down. Excellent service, great drinks, and delicious food. Will be going back to try other menu items.

Stopped in to grab some food. They have a good variety no matter what you’re in the mood for! Was able to watch a NFL playoff games on multiple TVs. The servers were attentive and most of all the drinks were delicious! I had a New Fashion.

Hands down the best wings I’ve ever had! The buffalo lemon pepper wings are now my go-to wings! No need for dipping sauce, just devour them as is. The fries also have a unique seasoning and are a great addition to the wings. Jamie is great and will provide great recommendations and will make you any drink you want!

We absolutely love this place when we come into town. The food is everything you want it to be. It’s a fun atmosphere and I highly recommend getting to sit at a table where Brooke is going to be your server. She is fun, has a great personality, and makes you feel like family. Also, if you get the fries or anything that can have the sweet seasoning on it I highly recommend. They need to bottle that up and sell it on the market. My wife got the tacos and I got the Philly cheese steak and we loved them. We have also had the wings, fried pickles, pretzels and beer cheese and shrimp basket; everything is so awesome. We can’t say enough about this place!

This establishment is great. It’s in a prime location.I had the southern breaded wings my first time and the beef tacos the next time I went. The wings are on point fresh and flavorful not overcooked or dry. The tacos will be better if you all got rid of the house sauce and just put Sriracha and had an upcharge for cups of sour cream it would totally change the experience,.. As far as the atmosphere goes,…They cater to the vibe of the area at the time, whatever event is going on, whatever time of day it is, and whatever type of crowd they’re entertaining,….They adhere and adapt! Still always offering and presenting from the foundation of black culture! Thank you all! I’ll be back for sure.

The place is super cute. The service was slow. The food came out 40 mins after we ordered. The fries and my wings I ordered were cold. We ordered two draft beers, it took 20 mins to get to our table. Then while just sitting, the bartender was making drinks and people were getting up from their tables to grab their own drinks. The waitress was busy and I think it was only her for the whole place. The fan and the light fixtures above the tables were extremely dusty and had cobwebs…. They probably need a wipe down soon.

Food was really good. We all enjoyed our meals. The wait staff was friendly.
Constantly having a laser projector in my face was not enjoyable and should have been limited to being positioned at a safe laser height. They brought food to 3 people in our party and forgot my food, even coming back to the table twice to confirm my order after everyone else was eating. To top it off I was charged an automatic 20% gratuity for the honor of having my food served when everyone else had finished eating.
I can’t recommend unless maybe it’s to go.

The Gruv Bar & Grill provided a fantastic experience with great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. They’re a Black-owned businesses in the heart of Downtown Lou offering daily specials like the Wednesday $5 Whiskey and Wings deal. A fun and funky venue!

The bar was nice and clean. My waitress was very pleasant. I placed an order for food, wings and sliders. I waited 45 minutes for my order and everything was cold. The burgers looked left over, cold and the wings taste good, but cold. They said the kitchen was being renovated. I may give them another shot somewhere down the road, but no time soon.
