This is my 2nd time here! The atmosphere is very nice. I have been seated inside and out – both great!
I was craving Eggs Benedict, so I ordered that and chicken piccata. (Yes, after a hard leg day workout… I wanted two meals)
Funny story – When the server was bringing our food, he asked, ” where’s the third person?” I am that third person! I can eat!
Anyways! Great tasting food, service was great! Constantly asked if I needed a refill (very important to me)
Will be back again!
Thanks Ivanhoe!

The food was great! I had never tried chilaquiles before, and I’m so glad I did… I had the chilaquiles verdes with Chorizo and omg life changing moment! I kind of wish I would have gotten avocado on top because it needed it! But that’s just an opportunity for me to go back! And that, of course, is a plus!
My boyfriend and I were feeling particularly fatty that day, so we also ordered a stack of pancakes with strawberries and bananas… again so yummy! Very delicious… couldn’t have been better.
The bf ordered the Shortrib Eggs Benedict… They were on a bed of mashed potatoes as opposed to the traditional English muffins, but he didn’t mind that he actually loved it! Insisted I have a bite, and yes, they were pretty good.
Overall experience was good however when we finished our meal our server was no where to be found we waited a while, finally I asked another server if he could please send the guy over so I could pay and get out of there. Looking back, he kept disappearing randomly. Other than that little situation, our time at Ivanhoe was pretty decent, and we will definitely be back!
Check it out!

Great place for brunch. They also have a decent happy hour. The inside has a nice home-like feel to it. They also have a great large patio. The patio is dog-friendly. The brunch is great. Decent portions too. The country fried steak is delicious. Can also recommend the chicken wings, loved the Thai flavor. No bottomless mimosas though. There’s a small lot but it’s valet only. You can also find street parking on Riverside but you’ll probably have to walk a bit.

Update 29Dec2024:
Came on Sunday at 1015, it was fairly empty. The valet is now $6, accept cash or venmo. Ordered the chilaquiles with steak and was very juicy and tender. My daughter ordered French toast and commented on how fluffy and delicious it was. The waiter was amazing. My wife ordered a cappuccino but later wanted drip coffee, and he gave us a complimentary refill.
Original Post: Had the red chilaquiles with chorizo. Would be happy ordering this all the time, but french toast looked amazing. The waiter refilled my coffee constantly. The only issue is the unnecessary valet, have the 5$ cash on hand for it.

Needed a sports bar to watch the Detroit Lions game Thanksgiving morning and they were happy to accommodate. I called ahead and when we arrived the game was awaiting us on the bar TVs! We snacked on some great texmex breakfast (huevos rancheros) and the southwest egg rolls…both hit the spot! Was impressed by the variety on the breakfast menu. The whole restaurant/bar was tidy and spacious. The service was great.

First time here and it won’t be the last. We tried coming last Sunday but it was closed. So when we saw that it was opened, we jumped at the chance and we’re glad that we did! We sat in a booth in the spacious and airy patio with our dog. They brought water for Ollie and we ordered the Ivanhoe margarita, which was the BEST margarita that I’ve had in a LONG time. Darn near perfect. To eat, we ordered the calamari, garlic truffle fries and the short rib sandwich with a clam chowder. It was ALL delicious. At one point, I suffered the dilemma of choosing what to eat next. I literally had a calamari on my fork, a sandwich in my hand and thinking about the fries… no lie! Great place, gotta try it and you won’t be disappointed. They also have a really nice bar, fully stocked to watch a game or two.

Stopped in today, January 1 to start the new year with a good brunch and it definitely lived up to that. I have driven by this location many times before, but this was my first time eating here. They have a lot of good options on the menu and it’s definitely more of a casual food plus bar vibe. It’s not a traditional Los Angeles diner, or a sit down restaurant.
Our server was really polite and prompt, and we both enjoyed our meals. I chose the Short Rib Benedict and it was honestly great. A really healthy sized portion that I was barely able to finish. As always, I ordered coffee as well and they kept the refills coming, which I personally love.
I would definitely recommend for a quick and casual breakfast or brunch. In the future I plan to come back to try lunch or dinner as well.

No wait to be seated, friendly and quick service, lots of seating, reasonable prices for LA and no worries on parking as long as you’re ok with valet-only. However, both my partner and I weren’t super crazy about the food. So while I can see how others like it, and I wouldn’t want to spoil that – it’s not a place we’d return to I don’t think.

It’s a neighborhood restaurant that caters to the community. When it changed ownership from Home to Ivanhoe it suffered in quality for a while but whatever they did, quality has improved a lot & with hard working staff that’s not only efficient but personable. I guess that what makes it more appealing, the service first, food next! May they always be a pleasure able dining experience

Parking was free on a Thursday night (I heard there’s usually valet parking but perhaps that was pre-COVID). The patio wasn’t as nice as expected from photos but is dog-friendly. The manager seemed nice, the food runners were attentive, but our server wasn’t very gracious. The garlic fries were awesome, the impossible burrito was pretty good, the ahi salad was so-so. The tamarind margarita was great and the lavender lemonade wasn’t bad (but not as good as the tamarind margarita). Might be a better spot for brunch.
