Great atmosphere and waiting staff. Our BBQ sample platters were slightly unexpected compared to pictures we saws prior to choosing this place.
Brisket – Came out chopped and not a single piece of sliced or chunk size larger than half a penny. Tasted good but that’s not what brisket is supposed to be. I didn’t get the enjoy the smoked crust. My wife’s brisket was exactly the same. ???
Pork – Chopped meat and not sliced or chunky pieces. Did I pick a bad night or something?
Smoked Wings – Incredible!! Received 4. I’m coming back for wings.
Ribs – 3 pieces. Perfect texture and we enjoyed them very much.

Do not waste your money.
When we moved to Plain City in 25, everyone recommended The Grainery. The first time we ate there it was pretty good, I ordered the Grainery sampler. The meat was decent, but I wouldn’t call it barbecue. Sides were ok. We invited some friends there and the food and service were alright. We realized that the quality of food and service depends on how busy they are. One time we ate outside to listen to the live music, and they were extremely busy. The service was terrible. Our waitress never came around for refills. They left my wife’s potato skins sitting on top of a trash can for 30 minutes and tried to serve them to her cold! Yesterday was the last time we gave them another chance. I ordered the Grainery sampler and they smothered the meat in so much seasoned salt that it was inedible. The ribs were dry like cardboard. I sent it back and they took it off our bill. We will probably never eat there again.
Take your hard earned money and head around the corner to Pioneer Pizza. It has always been amazing every time we have eaten there. They have the best wings! Which, ironically, has the same owner as the Grainery. It’s sad too because the Grainery has such a unique, fun atmosphere but the poor quality of service and bad food just ain’t worth the money.

My husband and I visited here on Saturday Feb 21st. This was a first time visit for us as we happened to be in the area. The Grainery is a gem! Super friendly staff and environment accommodations for larger parties. Our server, Chardonnay helped with recommendations and we were very pleased. Their boneless chicken was tender and the pieces were large. Great craft beer selection as well as signature cocktails. We will get back there again soon so we can take advantage of the patio seating and live music!

What a great place The Grainery is! The atmosphere is perfect and so comfortable! We have been to two great concerts, happy hour and trivia. The food is good, we have especially enjoyed the tacos and the pizza. The staff has been amazing. They are friendly and attentive and make the time spent there even more enjoyable. We especially liked the hostess, Stephanie, she was very upbeat and super friendly when she greeted us and showed us to our table. Jasmine was very helpful on the phone when we inquired about table seating for the concert and our waitress Kaylynn was excellent as well. If you havent been there you should check it out!

This was our first time at The Grainery and initially we were very pleased! We had sandwiches and fries and beverages. The service was great, the food was good, and the atmosphere was great. We ordered a stromboli to go because we loveStromboli and we were excited to see it on the menu. I will take partial blame for this. I did not check the Stromboli before we left the restaurant. Unfortunately, we live about 35 to 40 minutes away from the restaurant. When we got home I opened up the box and this is what I found. It’s burnt and it kind of looks like somebody dropped it. We were so excited to have it later today and now not so much.

Brought our 1 year old in on Halloween night. We were trying to eat at another restaurant in the area and it was booked up for the night. Turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened to us. We had Cameron for our waiter and he was absolutely spot on with his recommendations. The food was fantastic and our seasonal drinks were SO good. We had the Apple Butter Old Fashioned and the Toasted Marshmallow Martini, the buffalo chicken dip as an app, the Johnny Alder sandwich, wings, and got the pulled pork sliders for my daughter. There wasn’t a single note I could give on anything. It was all so tasty. The staff was so nice to our daughter and everyone stopped to talk to her. Just an amazing experience and such a happy accident that we ended up here.
And just to double down on Cameron, easily one of the most interactive and helpful servers I’ve had in a LONG time. Would come back just for him alone.

Very good meat my wife and I got wings in 4 or 5 different combinations to really get a feel for the place and we’re pleased! the smoked wings were fall off the bone tender and had a delicious smoked flavor. The fried were perfectly done with a good crisp outside and juicy inside.

It’s a great place, awesome atmosphere, and our server was GREAT! The food was VERY disappointing. I normally love brisket and was excited when I saw they had a brisket sandwich. However that was short lived because when it arrived I saw that I got approx 1 oz of VERY dry brisket on a large bun. I discarded the top of the bun and used the bottom bun folded in half in order to make a sandwich and the meat did not begin to fill that alone. I also tried my wife’s wings that she’d ordered, although they were well cooked enough that the meat “fell of the bone” but the flavor was definitely odd. She was only able to eat one and I tried to eat the rest but decided it simply wasn’t doable. I’ll go back and try the place again but will definitely try something else. We did notice that the nachos that others had looked really good.
