It was my first visit to Wayback Burgers, so I asked the cashier what she recommends for a first-timer. She was genuinely friendly and suggested the Classic Signature Meal with the Pumpkin Spice Milkshake. Hearing that the burgers are fresh, never frozen, and cooked to order immediately made me feel good about choosing this place, especially for somewhere I’d bring family.
When the food arrived, the presentation was clean and professional. The first bite exceeded my expectations with great flavor, balance, and care all the way through. The fries were done well, and the milkshake was outstanding! I don’t usually enjoy milkshakes, but this one changed my mind.
I’m already looking forward to trying more. The A1 Steakhouse, the Cajun Burger, and the “Eat for $8” box all look tempting. This place made a strong first impression with store aesthetic, fresh food, friendly staff. A place I’m gladly returning to!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Wayback Burgers – Bandera Rd! From the moment we walked in, the energy, service, and food were top-tier.
The owner, Juan, runs an incredible operation. You can tell he truly cares about both the customers and his team. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, professional, and attentive, but Lucas especially stood out. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure our entire group was taken care of from start to finish. That level of service is rare.
We came in with a party of 15, and when it suddenly started raining, the team quickly accommodated us inside without hesitation. They handled it smoothly and made us feel completely welcome.
And the food? Unreal. The burgers were cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and the shakes were absolutely to die for. Everything came out fresh and hot, even with our large group.
Huge shoutout to Juan, Lucas, and the entire team. Exceptional service, incredible food, and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

The food is outstanding. Fresh tasting burgers and fries. Good meal deals that are affordable and tasty. Cheese curds are bussin’. Burgers are well made with good seasonings and sauces. Overall the food is something to come back for.
The restaurant is a bit small. I wouldn’t say it’s cramped but I wouldn’t want to be there when it’s packed. It’s a bit hot in there but it may be something with their AC. Overall not a bad place to eat or pick some food up from. I would recommend it.

Went in to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday I’m not gonna say the young girl did welcome someone in and was very friendly. My issue was the cheese curls that I received that was a regular size order and cost me $4.50 I could not believe the amount that I received and when I asked the young man that is the amount you get for that price and he said yes I was so in shock I could not believe it that I paid $4.50 for that maybe I’m over exaggerating but dammmm !!!!!!!

I ordered the classic burger , which I thought was cooked well and was flavorful. I like the fact that every burger starts off with two patties. I also ordered the cookie butter shake which was really delicious, and tasted like Biscoff cookies. The amount of fries for a regular is more than enough which I liked but I was not a fan of the fries. They didn’t have much flavor even when I added pepper. But all in all I enjoyed my meal.
One more thing the restroom needs a little bit of TLC.
Actually two more things, it was very hot inside, it was cooler inside the restroom then where I ate.

Bandera San Antonio Texas location: Looks great ,clean restrooms with great smelling soaps , hot inside ,but has outdoor seating for those who don’t like warmth. Was quiet no music so relaxing almost fell asleep like a warm blanket son (little one) was so calm y relaxed as he ate every bite.
Onion rings 5 stars loved them. Son loved his kids meal zero complaints ate it all. Lots of cheese choices. No higher than Canes on prices. $2.99 kid’s Tuesdays.
Any problems arise at cash register or with food speak up they fix it immediately . Great workers who are very sweet this is a new location.
They have Door Dash to Uber Eats
$7-10 gets a adult burger like the classic,bourbon bacon ,Cajun to double bacon burger huge ones with $4.99 meal deal add on gets you fries y a drink. Kids meal drink, fries,y burger (chicken tenders or grilled cheese also for choices) $6.49. About $6-$7 something is a milk shake to signature shakes prices. $2.99 gets you a large drink while shopping in this area .
Definitely recommend it is delicious food that doesn’t taste salty like other places nearby .

Apparently Wayback burger has new owners, so we decided to try it for lunch today. The burgers were absolutely delicious, best burger I’ve had in a while! The staff was super friendly and the place was very clean! Will definitely go there again.

The staff were super nice and the restaurant was very clean. The burgers were very bland though almost like there was no seasoning definitely not as flavorful as they used to be and there was barely any toppings or condiments on the burgers. The fries and tots were pretty good though.
