What a hidden gem! This family-owned local business was absolutely amazing for our Valentine Day lunch. Such a cozy place where the chips and salsa were hot and fresh. The staff was so peasant and attentive and the lunch was almost too pretty to eat. The best rice- fluffy and light, the taquitos Dorados
were crisp and soooo good! This is a fan favorite and we will be back.

First time visit, after YEARS of being recommended to give it a try.
The waitstaff was extremely accommodating and helpful.
Plenty of menu selections to choose from for any appetite.
We chose from lunch menu, which did not disappoint. The chips & salsa are truly divine. I personally enjoyed Tacquitos Dorado, beef & chicken – no complaints.
Restaurant was clean & friendly atmosphere.

First stop in tonight and definitely not our last! Food was delicious and staff is so friendly.
Everyone enjoyed their food but I was very undecided on what to order. Asked our sweet waitress her favorite and she recommended Chicken Link. Y’all when I say it was good – it was GOOD! We had flautas, burritos, quesadillas and guacamole too – all amazing. The flour tortillas were so good too!
10/10 recommend

For sure the best Mexican restaurant we’ve been to in greater Moore county! The staff is super friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious. There’s been some price creep at other Mexican restaurants in the area and it just doesn’t seem to be a good value given the pretty mediocre quality of the food. At La Poblanita the food is different than we typically see. For example, the refried beans appear to be exactly that – pinto beans that have been cooked and then fried – savory and delicious. The refries we see at other restaurants look and taste like bean paste right out of a can. All of the dishes we’ve had at La Poblanita are prepared with far more care than the food at other local restaurants. Highly recommended!

My favorite place, thank goodness they reopened and now in Southern Pines. The chips are perfectly cooked and salted and salsa is perfectly blended and spiced. Very fresh. Love their mole (Aztez ‘molli’) from when they were in Aberdeen. Not on the menu but ask for it and it is mole carnitas – yum. Comes from the region south of Mexico City. The servers are attentive, pleasant, and down to earth; genuine. The music was hip reggaeton, not the traditional music every other place has. Currently has an older customers-base because their established reputation from before, but once they are discovered with the military-community and newer transplants to our area, they will be ‘discovered.’ Delish.

Small, quaint atmosphere, friendly service, food was good. Food item I requested was not an option so they did accommodate making a chicken salad with toppings requested.

I have known this family for a long time. I would say I am an OG from Aberdeen (5) if you know you know.
The chips are the best in town. I used to stop and get a bag of chips and salsa for dinner. It might not be the whole original family, but the food tastes the same.
