I’m writing this review out of a heavy heart and hopefully to provide constructive criticism.
I grew up going to this place and loved it , I would always bring people here who had either not heard of it or not had it . When I lived in AZ for 5 years this was the place I stopped when I came home to visit , first stop off the plane 🙂
I did a to go order today and got the super special #19 (I’ve been getting this since as long as I can remember. So good ) when I got home I unwrapped the sandwich and started to eat and all the familiar flavors and taste was there but the meat. I opened the sandwich up to take a look and the meat was razor thin and between every meat put together the lettuce was thicker. For a $13 dollar sandwich I would suggest giving a bit more meat or monitoring how much is put in each sandwich for consistency. (Attached is a picture of the amount of meat given ) . I ended up having to take the top of the bread off just to taste the meat .
Again , I hope the owner or manger reads this as constructive feedback, I just want to draw attention to what has been my issue the past two times I’ve stopped here) .
Attached picture shows the meat and cheese combined that I received. I didn’t remove anything other than the top bun and a piece of tomato that stuck to it .

This is probably the best that you’re gonna be able to purchase in the area. These folks pay attention to what they’re doing. It always has precious ingredients available. I stop in here all the time and I’ve never once came close to bags. I’ve had “in the store sandwiches. I would never even drink to try and yeah that’s what my faith is their ability and it pays off here in the area if you want a sub sandwich, the regular joint check out this place.

I was very dissapointed ! For $17 I got a couple see thru slices of meat and a very avg amount of veggies. Granted I’m a carnivore, but this is a very weak sub, IMO.

Dismissing my comment and the obvious fact that if the stated 6oz, (nearly a half pound) of lunch meat was used by the sandwich builder, my pic would show more that a colored layer of cellophane. The most laughable part is asking me to pay another premium upcharge for ” additional meat”. Do what you will,you have a great location, but there are far better options verse what I experienced..an apology and an offer to make the next one right would have been a better “ownership” response to a first time customer.
Just own the that fact that you are ripping people off, who dont pay attention, or just continue to insult my and other’s comments in this review.

Excellent quality food at a good price. If you like sub sandwiches you’ll like sub station 2. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The subs are fresh made and delicious. The tea is always good quality (which I think can tell you a lot about how well a restaurant cleans.) I make the 15 minute drive from the office and pass a dozen sub shops along the way to have lunch here once or twice a month.
I suggest the ultimate or the Italian. Both fully dressed.

_ still The Familiar Taste that I used to remember when I used to come here all the time. But boy they’ve gotten really cheap on the meats. Ordered a turkey and cheese. Makes me so sad. I guess I’ll be going to Jersey Mike’s from now at least I know they’re consistent with the meat amount. The services good they were nice. No complaints there. But I come here for the food. I’d almost rather have bad service and good food LOL I wish the restaurant success and I hope that they really watch and be consistent with the amount of meat they put on there. And after reading a few reviews. It’s not just me. Obviously this is a common issue.

I have been a loyal customer Sub Station Ii since there was one on Dixie Highway, this is my favorite sub sandwich. Today, my husband purchased lunch for us, to go, and I got the #19 full sub with oil and vinegar on the side. I don’t know what has happened but the sandwich had absolutely no taste at all and no onions. It actually tasted like the meats and cheese had been precut and refrigerated, it just wasn’t fresh. The roll was hard and had no softness to it. Usually you can smell these delicious sandwiches as soon as you put them in your car, nothing. I ate 1/2 of it and threw the rest away. I will continue to be a loyal customer but I thought you should know. Thank you

I utilized GrubHub+, & ordered a large super #19, potato salad, brownie, & a gallon of tea. First-I used to love this place growing up, because my parents worked at the bus station that was behind it (YEARS AGO), & they regularly ate there. I lived a lot closer too, & went to school downtown, so it was always within my daily commute. Now, I live in the highlands, & it’s pretty out of the way so I don’t get there as much. My birthday is coming, so I thought I would treat myself, & reminisce in the memory of how we ALWAYS all got the #19. I ordered, & added notes, & optional items to the sandwich, that I normally got when I walked in, & I opted for a gallon of tea rather than a large.
I was thoroughly impressed by their attention to the fine details in my notes, which read: ‘Dressed. No onion, no tomato. Add lettuce, salt, pepper, oregano, & extra mayo, & extra oil & vinegar. Cut into 4 slices.’ Not only was this done PERFECTLY, & with a lot of care-it took me back to when I used to enjoy these sandwiches with my mom & dad years ago. I also added a note on the gallon of tea: ‘Can I have a large cup of ice & a straw? Btw-I LOVE you guys!’. This was done without hesitation. The delivery was done flawlessly, & with extra care as well. It was placed very neatly on my porch (as I requested no-contact), & was delivered in a half-cardboard tray, so nothing would be shifted, or a skew. I texted the delivery person, & asked them to just look over it because I left those 2 notes. & it is VERY OBVIOUS that she did, & takes her position seriously & has pride in her work ethic. I applaud both the store, & the driver (her name was Daniela) for their efforts today. It made me remember things I haven’t thought of in a long time, & I got to enjoy something I haven’t been able to in many years since I lost mom & dad. Thank you for making my birthday that much more special . To many more years of SubStation II !!!

Edit 9/8/22: I feel like a VIP when I visit because they’re already making what I usually order as I’m walking up to order. The subs are always on point and the staff is always phenomenal. I wish I could go every day.

This is my absolute favorite sandwich sub place in the area. Today was the third time I’ve been there this month. I usually get the large spicy italian sub and their consistency of their sandwiches are on point. I know when I go back my sandwich will be exactly the same as last time. They’re extremely fast and efficient and get people their sandwiches in just a couple of minutes and always friendly no matter how busy they are. If you haven’t had one of their subs, you’re truly missing out.

We were so happy to see a Sub Station II while traveling. We love Sub Station II at home and this one did not disappoint either. Hanna at the register was great as well. Super friendly. There is quite a bit of seating at this location as well. Great experience.
