It is hard to find decent vegan sushi but Blue Sushi Sake Grill definitely exceeded expectations. My partner has never been fond of sushi & he was taken aback by the flavor! They absolutely are doing something right!
We bought five rolls total and during happy hour; the price was decent for that amount of food.
I would definitely recommend the Vegan Hot Popper for a creamier spicy taste or the Kaluna Crunch for a fried spicy taste. Though both are labeled as spicy, I would say the spice level is not that high & it has really good flavor.
For non spicy, I would recommend the Green Goddess or the Eden Roll. Both of these were absolutely amazing!!
Overall; a wonderful spot for any vegan or vegatarians looking to partake in some delicious sushi!
I checked in for my reservation, and was seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and chipper.
My server came over and asked if she could get me anything to drink besides water.
I ordered the White Peach Daiquiri. It was really good, I enjoyed the popping peach Boba that was in the drink.
Sunday they have happy Hour specials all day long – killer deal honestly. I ordered the spicy garlic edemame and a miso soup.
The miso soup was brought over nearly instantaneous to me placing the order. Their Miso Soup was one of the best flavored miso soup I have ever had. Highly recommend – so good I debated a bowl to go.
The spicy garlic edemame was cooked perfectly, and was delicious – the spice flavor reminded me of a spicier version of Tajin. They were delicious, they will make your nose run!
I ordered the Lion King roll off the happy Hour Menu, the Iguana roll off the normal menu and asked my server if she had any recommendations – she suggested the tataki maki and that was the 3rd roll I ordered.
All 3 rolls were delicious, the Lion King Roll ended up being my favorite. I enjoyed that they have the whipped wasabi, but it was the spiciest wasabi I have had in a while.
Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was busy, a bit loud but overall a great experience.
I would definitely eat here again, maybe even again before I fly home!
The focus is alcohol not sushi and when you visit recommend ordering before 630p.
While waiting for a table, I started struggling with the heat due to a medical condition. My husband asked if there was anywhere I could sit inside, and Anthony stepped in like a hero in an apron—so kind, understanding, and genuinely accommodating. Major gold star.
Sara, the manager, kept us updated on our table status like a pro—we weren’t just waiting, we were waiting with purpose. That kind of service? Never had anything like it.
Then came Jasmine, our server, and let me tell you… she didn’t just serve us food, she curated an experience. She made fantastic suggestions based on our tastes, and it felt like she could read our minds—or at least our appetites.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Thank you to everyone at Blue for making this such a memorable (and delicious!) night with my husband. 10/10, highly recommend, would eat sushi here in a heatwave again.
This dinner hit just the spot, but most items left me wanting to add something to it. The edamame had a good spice but was a lil dry for my preference (better with soy sauce drizzled on). I had high hopes for the mango crab Rangoons, the flavor pairing and concept was cool, but they severely lack filling, which in my opinion is the best part of Rangoons.
The lion king roll was my favorite of the three, the thriller was recommended over the tidal wave, but I felt it was a lil heavy on the creamy sauce, and the spider maki was aight. Spider needed a lil more flavor and was better dipped in wasabi soy sauce.
The chocolate spring rolls weren’t what I was expecting at all – I was expecting thin wonton wrapped chocolate with a dipping sauce, but was pleasantly blown away with this dish. The raspberry topping was the perfect compliment – but I wish I had more of it! Definitely made for sharing but glad I grabbed to try on my own.
