Welcome to your neighborhood tavern! We receive many comments about our slogan, “A LOSER FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE”. It has several connotations. If you are friends with a loser, married to a loser, know a loser, work for a loser, or are related to a loser, then welcome. If you are looking at your friends and are not sure which one is the loser, then it could be you. Either way, pull up to the bar, order our fantastic wings and unforgettable sweet potato fries and begin sampling each of our 50 beers. By the end, you won’t care either way!

One of the better burgers I’ve had. Their potato salad is good, but in moderation. The flavor becomes overwhelming after a couple bites.

Came here a lot on this trip. Day staff are great, afternoon not so much. Wings are amazing, ribeye is good, burgers good. Very limited menu.
I never sit near the cooking area which is directly behind the bar. Today I did and I’m not sure if the lid on the cooler has ever been clean. Salad and burger fixings in there. The scary part is nothing in there should be brown. 🙂 Guess I’ll have to find another place to get burgers and a beer. No just burgers. I’ll still get a beer here

Awesome hidden gem. Don’t sleep on their burgers! They were incredible! Damon is an incredible cook – you watch him cook as you sit at the bar and have a drink! Great spot to watch the game and grab a beer. Good options on tap!

Changing my review. My brother and I went here for lunch the other day. Food is still good, though I don’t understand why y’all ask how you want your burger cooked when it is always well done. But obviously I like the burger, since I’ve been here three times. Twice with take out.
My issue was the service. The place was empty. The whole time we were there, the bartender/ waitress was on the other side of the bar hanging out with her friends. Didn’t check on us until we were done. Worse, my glass was empty most of the time we were there. She literally walked past us and my clearly empty drink glass to give some guy a hug, then walked past us again and didn’t look our way.
I used to work in food service. It takes a lot for me to give a place a bad review, but watching her play with her friends and ignore us really pissed me off.

Drinks were decent. Bartender was rude. Stared at us the whole time. Asked for a credit card “incase we walked out” Kept looking at us because she thought we were underage after showing id. Terrible experience. Put more ice then drink. Ice was all the way to the top of the glass overflowing at that. If you value your time want respect and not to be stared at the whole time being judged wouldn’t come here.

I’ve been to this spot a few times now so I think it’s about time to talk about it. ToV is one of those spots that I tend to love because it’s just like a locals type dive bar-ish spot with good food at good prices and cold drinks. They play all the sports on TV’s all around the bar and they have a pool table and three dart boards.
I’ve had three different burgers in my three trips in but I’ve also tried bites of the ribeye wrap, fresh tuna, pork chop, loaded tater tots, etc. Everything I tried was good at the very least, most things very good. If you’re looking for flashy or upscale dining though…go somewhere else. This is just real food by real people done well.
The one criticism I will leave is that they would greatly benefit from a better roll for the burgers. I enjoy them cooked medium rare – medium and if you don’t eat them quickly the bun will start to deteriorate. Taking on the cost for a few more cents for a stronger bun would really take this to the next level.

Reviews made us a little tentative on visiting but it was close to our hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was surprisingly great. I had the burger and it was cooked perfectly, hunny had the pork chop and he loved it.

I came home from the airport late at night and wanted to eat. The place was so down to earth and the food was great . I was able to smoke and drink an ice cold tap beers. Had to drop it down to a 3 ⭐. It’s a hit or miss, I went back Friday night and it was closed, then went back Saturday night and got the ribeye poboy, asked for med cooked. After I asked the cook what’s the best way to have it cooked, he likes med-rear to medium so I knew I was in good hands, but something happened prior to my arrival so he was a bit distracted. I got med to med-well done. Order fries that was so greasy I had to put them on a napkin and wipe my plate of the extra grease. And he didn’t season the fries, but did the potato salad which is delicious I highly recommend it. I won’t say not to go, cause I would go back just know what not to get.

I showed up around midnight, fresh from the airport. I asked if they were still making food, and the gentleman running the grille said they were. I got a burger with bacon and cheese and a side of fries to go. It was around 20 bucks.
The bartender was very nice. She wasnt bothered that I just wanted a glass of water while I waited for my food. She filled my glass a few times.
It was pretty quite, clean enough, had a bathroom, and they have food. What else can you ask for? Go in with these expectations, and youre sure to have a great time.
The burger was amazing! The bacon was perfect. The bun was fresh. It was cooked exactly how I ordered it, and I devoured it. The fries could use a little love, maybe some seasoning, but the burger made up for any areas the fries lacked.
Well worth the $20. They also have a deal for 2 burgers and 2 beers for 20 bucks on Fridays.
I will stop here every time im in town. Thanks for the great food.

Everyone has heard the phrase… “Do not judge a book by its cover. Well, I almost did. When you go to Tavern on Vets, the outside makes you a little skeptical. Windows blacked out, not sure which door to use. You walk in and it is kind of dark. But, then you sit down. You then see, etched in the mirror, “A Loser Friendly Atmosphere”. I could not help but laugh. The service was fantastic. The bartender was friendly like someone you knew your whole life. The food, oh man the food. For a small bar kitchen, the food was cooked with such flavor and presentation. Now, there was one small error made on my wife’s wrap but it was quickly taken care of without complaint. We are only here for the week, we just might go back and read that book again.
