Great experience at Elizabeth’s Chophouse! Our server was very informative and gave great recommendations when asked. Everyone at our table was very pleased with their food. The salt blocks that the ribeyes come on add so much delicious flavor to the meal and those who got it were impressed. Four stars due to an 1.5 hr wait for our food, and other people who arrived after us getting their food first. Fun place to put on a fancy dress or outfit and have a fun night out! Overall, would visit this restaurant again!

Wow! My partner and i have had our anniversary dinner here for 3 years in a row now. We travel to Marquette every October, and we are always sure to book Elizabeth’s for dinner!
We always sit on the back deck, and the views are amazing! Nothing like that in Traverse City!
The service is always amazing and we are always greeted with a smile and friendly service!
The food is amazing too! We love many of the appetizers and the desserts are amazing! The meatloaf is a tried and true for us, as are the crab cakes! We look forward to this every year and they did not disappoint (we knew they wouldn’t)! Thanks for always making our anniversaries that much more special Elizabeth’s!

We had a fantastic time and experience here in late October when we celebrated our oldest’s 21st birthday. First, the staff kindly accommodated us when a few extra friends were able to join us for dinner. Next, the service was impeccable! The food was excellent. Three in our party split the surf and turf with the tomahawk steak and from the presentation to the taste, it was delightful. The very tasty bacon appetizer was candied table-side and the oysters were fresh. The whitefish and lobster mac n cheese were both huge hits too. They gave our daughter a hand-written birthday card from the staff, too- very special! Thanks, Elizabeth’s for accommodating us and hosting such a lovely celebration!! Can’t wait to come back.

I’m really sad to write this review as I’ve been ordering here at least 1x weekly for a while now. I had an issue with some orders and brought them up with Daniel, the manager, who made it right and had me excited to keep coming back regularly! Unfortunately shortly after that is where things went downhill. I placed an order over the weekend, and it came out half inedible.

The lobster tail was so overcooked I couldn’t peel more than 1/3 of the meat out of the shell. It turned to pure rubber as all overcooked lobster does. My salad had two—count them—two croutons. My sourdough was ripped in half (it’s a small loaf they usually slice) and the bread sticks were crushed. There was also no butter. When placing this order— I asked the girl on the phone for the complimentary bread that comes with every dinner (and has came with every order I’ve ever placed) and she said she is unwilling to give it to me for free and will need to charge me. Really sad as I’m not asking for a handout, I just want the complimentary bread that has always been free.

I left my name and number for Daniel the following Tuesday, and have not heard a word. Maybe the message wasn’t passed along, or maybe he didn’t want to address it— I don’t know. The bartender I gave my number two was extremely friendly, and the staff here is always amazing besides the one on the phone who charged me for bread. Daniel was awesome when I dealt with him before, so I’ll assume it was just an accident to not reach out. When the food is good, it’s great!

It just sucks, after ordering $70-$110 meals multiple times a week to have this. I am disappointed not only to not get a call back, but for the disappointing last meal. 🙁

Visiting from out of town and wanted a fancier dinner and this place did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, service, and food! We made a reservation a few days in advance. We had the steak on the salt block and the chicken and both were delicious! Highly recommend!!

My gf and I are in town for the dog sled races and my parents booked a Valentine’s Day dinner at the chop house to celebrate. In our ~2.5 hours at the chop house waiting for first our appetizer, our salads, and finally the main course to arrive, here’s what happened and some thoughts.

2.5 hours is a really long time to do a meal. At one point, we gave up on ordering more alcohol because we lost faith we would get it in time to enjoy with our meal. They should have had more staff to handle the big night.

My gf is vegetarian and was down to make the most of the menu. My parents did attempt to manifest a vegetarian entree for her by suggesting that they make one to the waitress the last time they ate there, but alas. She ordered a beet salad and risotto. She was shocked to see a dainty side dish of rice show up alongside our steak and lobster. Hungry and angry, she blamed herself for not asking how big the risotto was, but also, couldn’t the waitress have pointed out how small this dish was going to be when she ordered? I gave her my side vegetables and, miraculously, another order of side vegetables came out quickly.

My gf went to the bathroom to emotionally recover from her meal, where she found comic relief in the display of vaginal deodorant offered in the women’s restroom. It’s a big night, ladies, and the chop house wants to make sure you are freshened up 😉

Towards the end of the meal my mom discovered that the salt shaker was empty and missing a cork at the bottom. At that point, we were committed to getting the check. I probably wouldn’t be writing this if this weren’t the fanciest restaurant in Marquette, but when you are charging top dollar, you should bring on a few extra people to keep things running smoothly. Ironically, I had the best meal of the bunch!

SHOCKING EXPERIENCE ‼️Must read

Virtually never leave reviews, however I had the privilege of dining here recently, and I couldn’t stay silent.
We have eaten at some amazing restaurants all over the US, France and Europe and had some great experiences, but our meal here was off the charts amazing! We got the asparagus, ceasar salad, filet and duck. Drinks were fantastic too. And our server Zena was phenomenal! Management was on point, and I couldn’t say enough about the chef. Clearly knows what he’s doing!

Still blown away that this amazing of an establishment is tucked away in Marquette Michigan. And if you go in the summer, be sure to ask for patio dining- beautiful lake views!

We are from out of town and had dinner here a year ago-great food and service in a nice relaxing atmosphere at the bar. Had a new bartender who couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating which earned her a very generous tip. Fast forward to last night being back in town and looking forward to a nice evening. We sat at the bar again and ordered 2 dirty martinis- I wouldn’t consider what we got as being dirty. Ordered shrimp cocktail which was great last year – this year mediocre at best being they were not very chilled at all. Ordered lobster bisque which was good along with the tenderloin tips and lobster mac and cheese. The sirloin tips and mashed potatoes were good but the lobster mac and cheese came hardly warm not hot at all. The biggest issue was the bartender’s service-horrible. She forgot our drink orders more than once and we sat waiting and waiting as she washed glasses and was more interested in talking to a couple girlfriends who stopped at the bar as our empty glasses sat empty right in front of her after she took from us to pour another. She never asked how the meals were either. Then out of nowhere we were presented with the bill without being asked if we would like anything else. Overall a very disappointing experience this year which was too bad after a great time a year ago.
