As everything at JW Marco Island (with exception of Ario), we had amazing service. It’s clear that training is effective, and the hiring process is immaculate. The consistency of service provided is marvelous.
I read some of the bad reviews and I cannot relate at all. They have a very good offering of high quality food: pastries, fruits, protein, and even a waffle and omelette station. My coffee and water cup were always full and everything arrived quickly. Staff checked on us without being over the top, and we felt cared for while keeping our privacy. The buffet price is expected for the beach front 4 stars hotel, plus the food available. We had a great time both days we had breakfast there.
I loved the bossa nova in the background. Makes me remember the good old times in Rio, very relaxing and on par with a beach front establishment. It was not too loud in a way you have to fight for your life to be heard, but it was loud enough to muffle a little the other conversations.
Plus, they have brand new sealed crayons. Ario gave us ONE yellow color only used from another table. It makes you think if they also rotate germs from other customers to you in other ways.

We’ve decided to make Maia our go to breakfast place when visiting the resort because of the awesome attention and care that Dolly, our favorite waitress provides! Over the last couple of years Dolly has become like family to us! We can’t wait to be there again!

If you’re staying at the JW Marriott in Marco Island (or even just in the area), Maia is a must-try for breakfast. The vibe is light and coastal—super clean, modern, and relaxed. Perfect setting if you’re trying to ease into a slow morning. We had both breakfast and dinner at this place.
The breakfast buffet is seriously impressive. Everything is super fresh and clearly made with quality ingredients—definitely not your typical mass-produced hotel fare. The eggs are always fluffy (and the omelet station is legit), the pastries are buttery and actually taste like they came from a bakery, not a box, and the fruit is ripe and sweet—not just filler. They even have unique rotating options that go beyond the basics—like banana bread, lox with capers and onions, avocado toast, and some really good breakfast potatoes that are crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Coffee’s great too—not bitter or watered down. And if you’re more into juices or smoothies, they’ve got that covered too.
Service is top-tier—friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. Yes, it’s on the pricier side (it’s a JW Marriott, after all), but it feels worth every dollar for the quality of the food and the overall experience.
Bottom line: Maia is a perfect way to start the day—delicious, relaxed, and full of little touches that make it stand out.

A little expensive for the full experience but everything is REALLY good and the service is impeccable. It’s almost $50 with tax and tip but there’s so many choices and everything except the cereal is freshly made with just so many choices. If you’re ever in Marco Island and you love breakfast, this has to be the best choice on the island. The options for the omelette were really good, in the first picture I got a turkey and shrimp omelette with bell peppers, cheddar cheese and goat cheese. It was phenomenal. There’s a couple of choices: the continental buffet for $25 which is just cold stuff and the full buffet for $38.

Went here everyday for breakfast for a week. Got the continental buffet most days and is plenty of food- was free depending on your bonvoy rating. The upgrade to full buffet was $15 more but if hungry is worth it. Did this also and had french toast, pancakes and an omelet. All were delicious. Service was fantastic and they remembered us each day and knew we always had hot tea and oj.
The atmosphere was good but maybe sit inside when the black birds are around they dive for the food on the tables.
Kid friendly.

The service is wonderful! It is pricy at $35 but it’s worth it! We ate here for 5 days and it was wonderful very morning! Do be aware of the birds if you sit outside! They will come up to your plate! Other than that very good selections of fruit, eggs, bacon and sausage. Made to order pancakes, omelet and French toast are wonderful!

Loved this restaurant!!
Definitely slow on the service!! Other than that everything was nice and smooth. We upgraded from the Continental to the buffet and then I got the omelette station and it was the best thing ever!! They also had a French toast and pancake station as well. The food was really good!! So glad we’re headed breakfast here!

The buffet is top-notch! We ate at Maia every morning. The selection is simply unbelievable. If you don’t see what you want, just ask. Chances are you will be accommodated. Personally, I loved their bagel bar. Huge delicious bagels with a huge variety of toppings to include lox, smoked trout, vegetables and meats. They also offer up a make-your-own Bloody Mary station. Vodka is extra, but they certainly don’t skimp. Fresh squeezed Florida orange juice and the coffee is so good. The wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. The griddle stations will make omelets, eggs, pancakes, & waffles to order. The carving station serves up delicious ham. The cereal selection is quite nice, too!

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! The “manager” tried to grab my phone when I was taking photos of the restaurant, and she called security before even talking to me about her bartender employee lying to my face! All I asked for was for my coffee to be warmed up, and the bartender said, “No, we don’t have a microwave, and you can buy a cup of coffee!” The concierge had initially sent me to the restaurant! The stellar British speaking hostess was nice enough to warm my coffee up as I waited for the manager! She was a nasty person and had no right to lay her hands upon me and try to grab my phone! She refused to give me her name and tucked her nametag under her outfit! The security guard was a young, overzealous kid! The bartender lied and was in the back (assuming in the managers office) for a long period before re-emerging! We’ve eaten here over the years, and the food is ok, but $30-50 per person doesn’t justify a breakfast! We stay here every 2-3 years, and that was our last….. never again! Look at the photos! I’ll be calling hotel management next!

Breakfast buffet, all the usual things. Food is good, not great. All staff were friendly. $40 per person plus tip, is excessive.
