At the center of Cleveland Avenue, just minutes from the University of Delaware, sits Pizzeria Mariana: a restaurant that began as a tribute to Chef Robbie’s Italian restaurant background and childhood love of pizza and red sauce Italian food. What a treat. Came in for dinner with our Blue Hen and had a great meal. Real friendly staff, outstanding food. We had the Caesar salad, which was large, crisp and tasty. The Mamma Mia pizza with sliced meatballs was so good. The crust was not as bubbly and crisp as other wood fired pizza places but still tasty. Don’t sleep on the chicken alfredo, which was also great. Highly recommend.

What a gem! The Food Network Chef that owns this place & designed the menu items knows what’s he’s doing. We got the meatball pizza and the Besto pizza and both were delicious. Furthermore, we got there when the BOGO deal was happening, which was INCREDIBLY AWESOME! The waiter was also super nice and we didn’t have to wait long to get our food. I 100% recommend this place.

Stopped in for a family dinner and left completely satisfied. Staff was extremely inviting and helpful. Great brick oven pizza that offers some good specialty pizza choices. Had leftovers the next day and the pizza reheated in the toaster oven great also. $$ is comparable to all other local spots in Newark and the pizza is better. Highly recommended!!!

Tried three times to get in here. Third times a charm I guess haha. Parking is a nightmare here, but if you can get in or get it to go the pizza is worth it. I got the margarita and added chicken; the crust was just right and the sauce is delicious. Definitely try this place.

Pizza Mariana has fresh delicious wood fired pizza. I ordered the Coastal Blush pizza (without cherry peppers) and it is one of my favorites. I have had it with the peppers in the past and just wasn’t in the mood for a little heat. I also have enjoyed their Margarita pizza as well as their plain cheese pizza. You really can’t go wrong with anything here!

My salad with pulled chicken was generous. Their Ceasar dressing was really good. Better than most places I’ve been. You can see how enormous the fried mozzarella sticks are. Overall great experience. Gluten free options as well

Oh my lord, it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had! Me and my husband got the spicy Italian and our son got the ocean one. That was the best pizza I’ve ever had and the pepperoni, was so perfectly crispy! It was amazing! Definitely worth eating in or take out and a definite repeat! After eating this pizza I don’t really want to go back to anything else! Absolutely phenomenal!! The sodas were different too, it was like a fancier soda than the typical ones, so it was a really nice experience.

I dont usually like pizza but the pizza here is awsome. The LaBianca is my favorite pizza ever. And the 2 for $22 is a great deal. The staff is super friendly.
