We rode up to Prescott for the weekend and I was in the mood for some good Mexican. We looked at some reviews and pictures and decided on Auturo’s Mexican Restaurant.
It is a cozy place with friendly fast service and the chips and salsa they brought to start was som of the best I’ve had. I really brother salsa, it was not overly hot and just has an excellent flavor. My wife ordered the Taco Salad and I had the cheese enchilada special. The rice and beans were both good and my enchilada was also really good. Her Taco salad was good too and had very tasty shredded beef. Overall an excellent place fork some tasty Mexican food.

What a life saver! My husband and I were starving from driving for hours and randomly chose this place to stop and have lunch. As soon as we arrived they gave us chip and salsa, DELICIOUS! The food was delivered in less than 10 mins! Staff was super friendly. Fair price for the portions and service. Chimichanga and enchiladas recommended. We left with a full belly and ready to hit the road again.

I went here a few months ago with a friend. We both ordered shredded beef tacos. The meet was bland and un seasoned. We thought it was just an off day. We tried it again today. There was 1 waitress/cashier for 7 or more tables, it took forever to put in our order. My friend ordered a Taco Salad, it came out with the shell burnt, very little meet, and a bunch of soggy, almost brown bagged salad. I ordered a shredded chicken Chimmichanga, the chicken was a bit pink, and I am pretty sure it was from a can.
The waitress never came to refill drinks.
We are definitely not returning.
Also, my friends seat was duct taped up, and she fell into the hole under the tape where the missing foam was.

The service was so so. Was freezing cold, so I kept my coat on the whole time.
The chips and salsa were delicious. The carne asada tacos were small for $10. I had the pollo especial ($16.99) and it was spicy but good. I asked for sour cream on the side. Honestly, Olivas’ has the better pollo dish and cheaper at $11.

Unbelievably BAD. We ordered fish tacos and pork fajitas. We received steamed carrots and broccoli, plain pork pieces, rice, and almost a 1/4 cup of beans.

Spent $24 on a basic shrimp fajita. I asked them to add a serving of chicken literally two little chunks of chicken that was probably around $30 for just that! Pretty much all onions. I’ll take this review down as soon as they contact me to make a good fajita that’s worth almost $30.

I got a carne asada burrito enchilada style. I could t even eat half of it…the inside of the burro was so salty, it was hard to eat. The older female busser was rude and we felt like we were with asking for 2 much, extra chips and a drink, or shes so miserable in her job she didn’t want to do it. I won’t be back, the prices are high and the food is mid.
