We don’t get over to the North Hills that much, but I’m glad we found the dive bar! Not quite sure how I missed this spot considering all the other locations (south side, Lawrenceville, Regent Square).
We had a great experience 10/10…would definitely return and recommend. Loved the menu options…especially the loaded bowls with Mac/Cheese….Taters…or fresh cut Fries. I ended up going with the loaded BLT tots and they were everything. I hoped it would be! The beer, cheese, delicious!
We also tried the loaded croquettes, obviously homemade… The pulled pork was delicious. The Alabama slammer burger, perfect! The only slight disappointment was the soup, but not everybody can do soup right. The positives far far far outweigh the negatives… Also the service, wow what a friendly staff. Alan at the bar was amazing, told us all about the restaurant, gave us recommendations and was amazingly friendly. Thank you Alan! You made our first experience here fantastic

I drive by here all the time and I have always wanted to try it. Tonight my son and his girlfriend invited my wife and myself to dinner here.
I haven’t been in here for 25 years, and the improvements made are phenomenal. Very clean, inviting and charming.
All staff members were very friendly and we were greeted and seated with just about no wait.
I ordered the big kahuna burger, my wife had the Alabama slammer fried chicken sandwich, my son had the Buffalo chicken hoagie and his girlfriend had the pulled pork and tater tots.
EVERYTHING LOOKED amazing and tasted even better!! I have been craving a good REAL burger for a week, and this more than hit the spot!!
Portion sizes were great, everything came out

One of the best meals out in a LONG TIME!

The Dive bar is a cool place. There is a downstairs bar and am upstairs bar. The upstairs was closed when I went though. There are hardly any option for Gluten Free so you’re basically resorted to a salad and that’s what I got.
I got the Strawberry Balsamic Glaze Salad. It was a decent size and had FRESH Strawberries. It had a great taste and the Chicken was flavorful too. The prices were okay. A little high but not super terrible. I would definitely go back for that Strawberry Salad it was AMA

My favorite local bar for food. If they have the right cook working, some of the best friend chicken in the area. Also huge salads. The only negative is the recent removal of their Rewards Program— huge loss that’s resulted in much fewer visits for me. Still, a wonderful local bar with wonderful service.

Horrible experience. Went for lunch, it took 10 minutes before anyone asked for drink order, another 10 minutes before the drinks came, then the waitress walk away and another 5 minutes before taking our order. After waiting for our food, which consisted of bugers and a hogie for over an hour. NO EXAGGERATION!! the waitress informed us that it would still be a few minutes. When the food finally arrived, half of the food was cold. NEVER AGAIN!! Just want people to be aware of how bad this place is.

A decent place,parking seemed fine around 3pm on a Saturday, didnt try too much of the food. The games are upstairs and only opens after 5pm. And the bartenders didnt seem to know drink names well tried ordering the amf twice and got two different drinks admittedly the second time was upstairs and the bartender confidently gave me a drink called a trashcan, not complaining just stating how my time went. Its a place you can stop at for food and drinks

I got the crab mac and my girlfriend and I shared a calamari. It was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Calamari was rubbery and the sauce it came with was very oily/fatty. My crab mac was over seasoned and the crab cakes were dry with a strange taste. The top half was super salty and bottom half was bland. I’ve never sent food back before but this was the first time I wasn’t able to finish something because of its taste.
However, with that being said, our waitress was very kind and apologetic and kindly removed the crab mac from our bill when the complaint was made. She offered to send it back to the kitchen for it to be remade but I lost my appetite by then. The atmosphere was nice and lots of tv’s playing sports which was nice to watch at the time. It was a little quiet for a Saturday night but no complaints there.
I probably won’t be returning because I don’t live in the area, but if you’re reading this review I would still give it a shot. The service is great and based on other reviews, the food seems good. I probably just ordered the wrong things on the menu and got a one off.

We absolutely loved the vibe of this place. The bar tenders were very attentive and made us wonderfully delicious alcoholic delights. Appetizers were served quickly. The main course came in a flash just as it had been ordered. Thank you for serving us everyone at DIVE BAR & GRILL! We will see you again in the future for sure!

Food was great. Both of us had fish sandwiches which were very good.
Ordered our beverages and an appetizer which came quickly. Gave waitress our order. However food came within minutes & we only just started our appetizers. Had appetizers packed to go. Need to space serving better. Other than that we were pleased & will return.
