After a Pokémon GO Community Meetup, this spot worked well as a casual gathering Gym with a clean battlefield and a Trainer crew with solid Service stats. I went with the Stuffed Baked Potato with Brisket, which landed decent damage thanks to the BBQ topping, even if the potato itself lacked the crispy finish I usually prefer with melted cheese and butter. The food overall plays like a reliable mid-level team member that is good enough for a group stop and reasonably priced. But if you’re hunting for a legendary-tier BBQ encounter with deep smoke flavor and signature sauce, this place won’t quite land a critical hit. Convenient and enjoyable for the meetup and if you’re seeking a local BBQ place to check out without having to use TM28 in your wallet.

It was my first time here and everyone was was very welcome and nice enough to explain the menu and helped me narrow down my choices
Very calm and quiet inside, I even got to enjoy a movie in the smaller room
Got the rib plate with Mac n cheese and corn
Really good ribs and sweet tea!

My husband and I arrived near closing time. Even though they had started their closing down procedure, they were happy to take and serve our order. The brisket was marbled and very tasty. My chopped beef sandwich was piled high. The sandwich platter came with two sides. I selected the baked beans and coleslaw. Both were excellent. My husband chose the 2 meat combo plate. His ribs were meaty and flavorful and the sliced brisket perfectly smoked. He opted for the potato salad and pasta salad for his two sides. He said both were good. Finally, their banana pudding is one of the best I have tasted in the area. Kudos to Marshall’s BBQ for an all around fantastic experience.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon just before 5. The dining area was charming but empty, probably due to the time of day. We ordered dinner plates of brisket and sausage with various sides; fried okra, butter beans, baked beans, pinto beans, Cole slaw, and Mac ‘n Cheese. The brisket was exceptionally moist and flavorful. The restaurant staff were a delight. We commented on the fried pies near the register and were told the pies were free that day. So we took three! Great old-fashioned Texas BBQ restaurant where the portions are HUGE!

Best loaded Potato I’ve had. Felt like I was in the hood. Potato melts in your mouth with just enough cheese, butter, sour cream and exc. The chop beef was just as good and the portion was right. I suggest dining in if your big on condiments like I am. They have pickles, jalapeños, four different bbq sauces, onions exc.. Clean with no dirty mop-water smell and plenty space. Just quiet enough to do some reading or get some work done. I liked there potato better than Hard Eights.

I generally like this place, but I have to say $3.25 for a soda is a lot.
With the most basic barbecue sandwich and a drink, you leave $12 plus tax. At Chili’s you pay $10.99 for a proper restaurant meal of a burger with side, an appetizer, and a drink. The value proposition here doesn’t make much sense.

Good place to eat after a 15 hour fasting Great butter beans; okra needs more salt/seasoning; coleslaw better than some I’ve eaten; and bbq is tender. I love supporting family owned restaurants. Toni one of the owners super nice and Sam carried my tray to a table without me asking even. Super sweet thing to do for me and first time anyone has done that while using my cane / wheelchair. Best butter beans I’ve eaten in my life!!

This place serves up some really good barbecue! They have a friendly welcoming atmosphere! Very quality food! The sliced brisket, hot links and ham are really great! Butter beans with diced ham are awesome! Cole slaw is good. House barbecue sauce is tasty and complements the meat. They have a bunch of side choices. This place is worth checking out, drive through dine in or carry out. Complimentary peppers, chopped onions, pickled jalapenos, pickles, mustard, sweet relish, Mayo, peppermints etc…
