This location has a lot of good seating and is displayed cutely!
We asked the worker at the register to see if they could toast some of the bakery with meats and they gladly helped! They were jumbling around a few customers as well and they got to help us in a timely manner. huge props to them for the help!
The coffee and drinks were very delicious. The bakery was great and the location of this place is great. We parked at the Safeway parking lot and walked. It was an easy and very accessible.
Overall, an excellent place to get your bakery goods, delicious cakes or sandwiches. Would highly recommend coming here before you trek outside of San Francisco!
Plastic and hot water cannot be healthy for any of us. I love the posted new CA law about giving out things upon request. It’s great in minimizing waste.
Now, Paris Baguette can help reducing harm to us, human. Let’s minimize any plastic possible.
When I arrived, a male staff member, Jonathan Adonay, was standing behind the counter looking at a tablet and completely ignored me. I had to raise my voice to get his attention. I asked if they still had coconut cake, and he said no. I then asked which cake was less sweet, and he responded that all of them were the same.
I also politely asked whether cakes were discounted at this time of day, as many bakeries offer discounts closer to closing. He replied in a very rude and dismissive manner, saying something like, “How could there possibly be discounts here?” His tone made me feel judged simply for asking, as if I were trying to take advantage of something.
I told him that even if there was no discount, there was no reason for such an unpleasant attitude. He then responded that with an attitude like mine, no one would serve me. Since I was already running late for our family dinner, I chose not to argue further and quickly selected a strawberry soft cream cake and left.
When we arrived at the restaurant and were about to cut the cake, I noticed that the strawberries on top were spoiled. They looked nothing like what I had seen in the display case and were clearly not fresh. Given the earlier interaction, it was difficult not to question whether this was handled properly.
Between the poor customer service and the unacceptable food quality, this was not the experience I expected—especially for such an important family celebration. I will not be returning.
When I cut it open, the fruit had completely separated from the cake, and when I tasted it there was a bad smell. It made me wonder how long the cake had been sitting there. In the end, I had to throw the whole cake into the trash.
I’m really disappointed because I’ve trusted this place for years. I hope the store can pay more attention to freshness and quality control.
**Hits**
Selection: Huge variety of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and drinks.
Convenience: Plenty of seating, free parking, and staff willing to heat up your food (even for to go orders).
Strawberry Soft Cream Cake: Light, airy bread, smooth and perfectly balanced cream. Delicious!
Garlic Sausage Pastry: Flaky, crispy pastry with a good balance of sweet and savory flavors. Just wish it was heated through.
**Misses**
Egg Sandwich: Bland and disappointing, lacked any flavor.
Soft Strawberry Cheesecake: Just okay, nothing special for the price.
Price: Definitely pricier than other bakeries.
Overall, Paris Baguette is a good option for a quick and convenient bakery cafe experience. However, the uneven quality of the food and the higher price point bring the rating down to 3 stars. If you’re looking for a specific pastry or cake, it’s worth a try.
