I grew up coming to the fruit loop each fall and this has always been my favorite stop. They have a wide selection of jams that you can sample, my favorites are the hood river berry and raspberry rhubarb which I always make sure to grab a jar of to sustain my sweet tooth. They have huge cookies for great prices, tons of flavors, always fresh and baked to perfection. I haven’t tried many of their other baked goods but I plan to change that in my future trips as they look incredible. They also offer honey sticks at the right price which is something I will get very stingy about. They even offer huckleberry which I’ve yet to find anywhere else. The staff has always been extremely helpful and welcoming and the shop is set up very organized. Never any issues with foot traffic or with parking even when it’s more crowded. Strong recommendation to anyone willing to make the trip to Hood River.

Every year for 7 years now we stop at this place to enjoy coffee, some baking goods-pies- and buy peaches .
Such a fun and relaxing spot to visit—close enough to Hood River for a quick trip, but it feels like a getaway. The scenic drive there is stunning!
Peach picking can be fun!.
Adults can browse the store with local wines, ciders, and a fantastic selection of jams and jellies (yes, you can sample!). It’s a perfect place to enjoy sunshine and fresh air.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. A great local gem—go support the orchard!

My fiancé and I visited this orchard while exploring the beautiful state of Oregon and everything was just lovely. We tried all these different jams and decided to buy a jar of strawberry jalapeño jam. We took it home to Chicago for our friends to try and they all loved it. We will definitely be coming back if we travel here again in the future!

A Must-Visit Gem on the Fruit Loop!
Packer Orchard & Bakery is pure joy from the moment you arrive. You’re greeted with warm smiles and the kind of laid-back friendliness that makes you feel like family. This is the kind of place that restores your faith in small-town charm.
The free tastings alone are worth the stop—an abundant spread of seasonal fruits, local honeys, and baked delights. Their fruit shakes are refreshingly delicious, and the fresh-from-the-oven pies and empanadas (especially the Marionberry pie ) are heavenly. You can relax in the shade with a cup of coffee and soak in the stunning view of Mount Adams—honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Compared to other spots on the Fruit Loop, the prices here are incredibly reasonable. While some places feel like they’re targeting tourists’ wallets, the Packer family delivers quality, generosity, and value with heart. Their U-pick groves—offering peaches, cherries, and more depending on the season—are a fun and wholesome way to connect with the land.
We loved it so much we came back more than once! The weekday hours are also a huge bonus, especially when many other stands are closed.
Thank you to the entire Packer family for creating such a special place. We can’t wait to return!

Our first experience visiting this place and loved it! The sample table was awesome! It gave us an idea of what to buy. We also purchased their Marion berry cinnamon rolls and a flat of fresh peaches. Can’t wait to make some peach cobbler crumble! We would definitely recommend this place!

Enjoyable place to go and visit!! Far enough yet close enough to Hood River. The scenic drive is beautiful.
There is the cherry picking. Delicious cherries!! Great for kids who love playing in the sand , feeding the goats , riding the barrel horses and enjoying the tricycle track!
Even better is the store for the adult beverages and also all the jams and jellies that you can sample. Plus it allows you the opportunity to enjoy being outside in the sunshine.
Customer service is great , very nice and informative. Go out and support the Orchard.

I had so much fun here, so many jams, honey, and dips to sample here! They’re all super delicious. They have many interesting flavors. A lot of fresh fruits too, very affordable if you get the flats. I tried the huckleberry ice cream and apple cider slushie, both so good! The bakery items look yummy as well.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The baked goods smell when you walk in is intoxicating. It is an excellent place to grab fresh baked goods, jam and pickles. There are samples to help you decide what you like best. In the summer, enjoy fresh fruit from the orchards. A must visit location in the valley.

One of my favorite places to go for baked goods, jams, salsa & peanut butter. Made the commute there and turns out they were closed. Please update your hours on Apple Maps. Not everyone uses only google.
