I’ve lived in Northern Arizona since 2015 and I can’t believe it took me this long to take this drive. Wife and I finally drove 89A from Prescott up and over Mingus Mtn to Jerome & back at sunset, and just wow! I thought the drive up was spectacular, but if you time it just right, the drive down is even better!! Especially with a full belly after stopping at this restaurant for dinner. Sat on the small balcony just behind reception, vista overlooking Jerome and can see Sedona all the way to the San Francisco peaks! What a great atmosphere! The food and drinks are pretty darn good too! Of course the hamburgers are delicious, but so was the stuffed and smothered meatloaf (get it with extra gravy) and the jalapeño coleslaw is fabulous! Even bought the recipe book! Parking can be tricky but didn’t mind walking around town. Don’t miss this gem of a trip right in our backyard! Only ~ 45min up from Prescott. We drove up starting ~ 3:30p stopping along the way to soak up the views and take some pics, had dinner ~ 5p and drove back down starting ~ 6p. I can’t wait to do this again! Adjust times based on daylight & seasons, but sunset is a must!!

If you want dramatic views while youneat a delicious burger then this is the place. Service is friendly and timely. People are very professional. Restrooms are clean and there is plently of space to move around. You can est inside or outside the patio.
We ordered two burgers. They were really good. They sell other dishes, but were just looking to have lunch. After a certain time there are daily specials. We got there an hour before that though.
Take a look around at the different pictures they have where images of ghost or apparitions appear. The whole place seems to have a story. Really cool place to dine and relax a bit before continuing on to Sedona or headed west.

My family and I took a roadtrip to Jerome and went here for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely phenomenal! The people there are so nice and genuinely try (and seceded) at making everyone feel welcome and happy!
When we were about to leave after a great dinner, they gave us a free coconut cream pie slice! Nobody ordered it and a few of us accused my uncle of trying to surprise us, but nope! They gave it us as a kind gesture! My uncle and I don’t even like coconut cream pie, but all of us sure enjoyed it here!
10/10 would come back again!

Tucked into the charming hillside town of Jerome, AZ, the Haunted Hamburger delivers more than just a clever name.
We ordered the Double Haunted Burger and the Ghostly Burger. The patties were cooked to a perfect medium, just as we requested—juicy, flavorful, and stacked high with fresh toppings. The portions? Massive. These aren’t your average burgers; they’re full-on events. You can swap out the fries for a twice-baked potato (which I had) but the fries were the best I have ever tasted – crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and seasoned just right.
Tammy, our server, was incredible. Despite the bustling crowd, she was attentive without hovering, professional yet warm, and had us laughing throughout the meal. She juggled a packed section with grace and never missed a beat—her energy and charm were infectious.
We couldn’t resist ending the meal with their carrot cake, and wow—It was humongous, moist, and perfectly spiced, with a generous layer of cream cheese frosting that dreams are made of. It even had candied walnuts!
Between the hearty food, the ghostly charm, and the top-tier service, Haunted Hamburger is a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Jerome. Come hungry—and maybe bring a friend to share dessert!

The wait staff is fantastic! I can tell they really enjoy their work. I love nothing more than a great hamburger. and the Haunted Hamburger did not disappoint! The chocolate cake was fantastic and plenty for 3 people! A small snafu in our order was handled with compassion and caring from our server and management. I’ll proudly wear my t shirt I purchased too! it’s so comfy. Thanks for being a memorable restaurant experience on my first trip to Arizona.

Got seated at the outside “bar” overlooking the valley…NICE! Tammy was our server, fun, polite and professional. I had the cheese steak and slaw; it was excellent. Wife had the chili burger & fries. Very good. Pics don’t do it justice, as I forgot to take pics when served. But after digging in, I had to get pics of our very delicious lunch. Thanks Tammy!

Went for a quick weekend getaway to the Verde Canyon Railroad and decided to make the 15 minute trip to Jerome for dinner. The Haunted Hamburger definitely caught our eyes with their decor. We sat outside and enjoyed a pretty nice little sunset. The food was great with good size portions. The staff was very friendly. Fits perfectly with the Jerome vibe. Highly recommend when visiting Jerome.

Haunted Hamburger was a nice culmination of the day spent in Jerome. The wait was long since it is a top tourist destination, but exploring the town filled the time. We were seated outside on the covered patio and had a lovely view of the town. The hamburgers were okay. The onion rings were great!
