We had Casey‘s Breakfast Special which was great, very delicious and satisfying!
We also had the Denver Egg, which was s great portion and also very delicious!
So, not much to say other than this is definetly a great choice for breakfast!
The prices? HIGH! Red Hut a mile away is less, and open longer, but we were here, and the food was near!
The ONLY issue I noted is that STOP BREAKFAST AT NOON!
Now, I like a late one sometimes, we just made the cutoff
We ate outside, and dogs are ok out there (not that we brought ours), so not sure about inside, looks like a regular diner.
Various seating options, all with umbrellas, I prefer a chair to the picnic table options.
The food? tasty! But it is weird, they do NOT INCLUDE TOAST in a 2 eggs and chicken fried steak meal? why? I didn’t get any biscuit either! Had to PAY EXTRA for toast. So dumb. Stop that. Give me the toast. Jeez.
Service was ok but not consistent, and we had a long long long long long long wait for coffee refills. Did I say we had a long wait? was long.
If you’re looking for a place where breakfast, lunch, and mild confusion all collide, Casey’s is your spot.
We ordered the full spectrum of meals like we were filming a cooking show with no script:
My Shrimp Louie:
A bold adventure. Some of the shrimp were still frozen together, like they were holding hands and refusing to accept their fate. But honestly? Still pretty decent. I broke them apart like a seafood archaeologist and powered through. 7/10 would defrost again.
Wife’s Breakfast Burrito:
She loved it so much I’m pretty sure she considered writing it a Thank You card. Warm, hearty, delicious — the opposite of my shrimp ice cubes.
Son’s Pancakes:
He crushed one and then tapped out like a man who knew his limits. Luckily, my wife and I heroically stepped in and “taste-tested” another pancake… for safety reasons. Parents don’t leave carbs behind.
All in all, Casey’s is quirky, tasty, and oddly thrilling. You never know if you’ll get hot food, cold food, or food that’s somewhere in between — but you will leave fed, amused, and slightly proud of yourself.
Would recommend.
