All of the food was excellent. Gumbo has a tomato base rather than a roux, but was still delicious. Bread was a little chewy was really the only negative.

3 strikes and you are out. First time dining here: employees were fighting with each other in the dining room over someone coming in early and taking tables, this carried on for our entire dining “experience”. Second time, came in to order togo crawfish. I was told my order would be taken several times over the course of standing there for 20 mins while this woman ran back and forth to her tables, and ignored taking my order. I finally walked out, without my order taken. Third time, placed an order for crawfish and boiled shrimp, 4 pounds total. Sat there for almost 40 mins waiting. The lady finally asked me what I needed and I told her I was waiting for the order I had placed 40 mins ago, she acted like she had already forgotten I just did that. Finally, she finds my order, which had been sitting in the window for 35 minutes. No apologies, no nothing. Even a table as I was walking out was shocked. Safe to say this place has lost my business for good.

Really delicious food and very good service. Super reasonable price. My daughter had the royal reds and THEY WERE HUGE.
My wife had the Mahi. I had a cheese burger. All were well prepared.

Alright y’all, let me break it down for you in plain ol’ shrimp-boil Southernnese: Lil Ray’s Po-Boys & Seafood ain’t tryin’ to be the next big thing—it already is. This joint don’t need neon signs or avocado foam to get your attention. What it does got is seafood so fresh it probably voted in the last Biloxi city council election.

You roll up on Courthouse Road and it looks like your cousin Earl finally opened up that dream fish shack—except Paw Paw runs the fryer and every bite tastes like Ariel herself kissed it with Tony Chachere’s. This ain’t Instagram food—it’s real food. Food with stories. Food that hugs your insides and whispers, “You’re home, Bubba.”

Now let me walk you through the gospel from the coast.

Appetizer? Two pounds of boiled crawfish. Minimum. Season’s been playin’ hard to get, but I ain’t lettin’ that pot pass me by. Red, spicy, steamin’, and makin’ your nose run just enough to feel alive. You pop those tails, suck them heads, and wonder why you ever trusted anyone north of I-10 to cook seafood.

Main course? Oh, I went full Gulf royalty: fried green tomatoes stacked like Mardi Gras doubloons, grilled shrimp layin’ on top like they just clocked out of a beachside gym, and a remoulade sauce so good you’ll consider drinkin’ it with a straw. Fries on the side, crispy enough to survive a hurricane evacuation.

Dessert? Bread pudding. Because I spent all day wanderin’ through fish tanks and gettin’ yelled at by gulls like a one-man Disney short, and I earned that warm, custardy miracle drizzled in caramel. This ain’t dessert, it’s therapy.

Lil Ray’s is more than a stop—it’s a Southern baptism in butter, seafood, and soul. Come hungry. Leave full. And remember: real food don’t need no TikTok filter.

Quick trip to the beach today. We had been told that if you go to Long Beach, only eat at Lil’Ray’s. We are so glad we did! The food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! We had a shrimp po boy, roast beef po boy, gumbo, fries and Cajun fried mushrooms. The only thing missing was a nap on the beach! We will definitely stop back in this summer! Definitely recommend! 10/10
