Chicha Peruvian Kitchen brings authentic Peruvian flavors to life through a modern take on the traditions we grew up with. Rooted in heritage and inspired by the present, our kitchen celebrates the richness of Peruvian culture in every dish.
Savor bold favorites like ceviche and leche de tigre, classics such as lomo saltado, ají de gallina, and seco de res, along with flavorful specialties including arroz con mariscos, pescado a lo macho, anticuchos, pachamanca, carapulcra, tamales, empanadas, pan con chicharrón, and huancaína. Refresh with chicha morada, maracuyá, sangria, and Inka Kola, then finish with alfajores, crema volteada, and lúcuma.
We are the neighborhood’s gem and unmistakably Peruvian.

Today at 12:30, my family and I decided to make a stop in Sacramento for lunch. There were many options for Peruvian restaurants and we chose this restaurant because of its good reviews. It was a great disappointment. How is it possible that with the name “Chicha”, this restaurant could not make a good chicha? That was not chicha. It was water with a hint of chicha. (My kids make better juice than this). My evaluation of the food is totally honest and I put it below zero. Ceviche has to be made with fresh fish, not frozen, and hard to eat. The onion needs to be washed before serving. The lime was almost fermented. In general, the flavor of the ceviche was bitter and difficult to eat. I had hope for the lomo saltado but the meat was hard as a rock. The flavor was not good. The onion again was giving a bitter flavor to the dish. I would say more about this dish but suffice to say, I wouldn’t recommend it from this place. Lastly, we ordered chaufa with chicken for our kids. The rice didn’t have much flavor. The texture of the chicken was strange. (My wife makes better chicken than them.) I have visited dozens of restaurants on the west coast of the US. I have made many reviews of the restaurants that have impacted me, both positively and negatively, and I must give a score to this place. I know that every person has their own preferences but as a Peruvian, and with the experience I have with our food, I cannot say that this place represents Peru. Some humble advice for the chef: reevaluate your recipes. Thank you to our waitress, Christina, for the friendly and attentive service.

We were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful the dishes were. Its very difficult to find a place thats not a dissapointment, but this is a good one.
My wife had Pollo Saltado in Hawaii and loved it. She said Chicha is just as good. I had Chicken Pachamanca and it was very nice. We shared plantains and Yucca.

I’m so glad my friend recommended this restaurant because not only was it my first time having Peruvian food but this was absolutely delicious. The inside of this restaurant is very beautiful and spacious, the staff were very nice and welcoming, and our dinner was great.
I ordered the ceviche Máncora and the Maracuyá and was in love. The ceviche was perfectly balanced between the fish, the limey spicy juice, and the sweet potato and corn. The Maracuyá was so good, fruity and sweet. This was an incredible meal, and my friend’s as well. They got fettuccine primavera, pollo saltado, and pan con chicharron. For drinks they got Inca kola, chicha morada, and a cocktail (the name escapes me). Everything was great and we were all so satisfied with our choices. I will absolutely be back again, wish it was slightly less expensive. So good!

I truly enjoyed our experience here everything we ordered was delicious, but our server, Jesus, made the evening even better. He was incredibly attentive and gave us excellent recommendations. We ordered the papá ala huancaina, yuca frita, plátanos, Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado, chicha salad, and another dish I can’t remember the name of (basically a fried rice plate). Honestly, that fried rice ended up being my favorite. I didn’t even get a picture because I was too busy enjoying it! We’ll definitely be returning. Thank you, Jesus, for the outstanding service

Our first time trying Peruvian food! We liked our mimosa a lot more than we expected, and the food was generous portions and very flavorful. Kind of quiet on a Friday night, but finding street parking in the area was a bit challenging. They offer discounts for Broadway Sacramento! Definitely will be coming back.

Excellent Christmas meal!! We ordered so many different dishes: ceviche, appetizer and stew samplers. All were fabulous. The three ceviches were distinct and ample servings. The 3 stews were enough for three people to share. Plus we had the pork belly appetizer, and two main dishes: mahi mahi and pescado a lo macho. It was a great idea to have beer flights with this. I wish they had at least one dark beer selection. You can also order mimosa flights, but we didn’t try that. Flan was perfect, just lightly sweet and not overwhelming.
Our server was so patient and definitely provided a memorable night. He explained everything so well and kept us happy.
Nice atmosphere.
Hope we can return.

I recently tried Chicha, a Peruvian restaurant in Sacramento, and it was a great experience! We ordered a spread that included the Chicha Platter, Ceviche Platter, Seafood Paella, Pescado a la Macho and their special for the day. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the quality was top-notch.
The Pescado a la Macho was a standout favorite, with its rich, savory sauce perfectly complementing the tender fish. Omg soooo good!!
The service was grear, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.
