A great place to visit when you’re craving GOOD food! I grew up going to the one off of highway 6 but don’t get me mistaken they are definitely different vibes but food is just as good. Everything on the menu looked amazing. We went with the stuffed jalapeños to start and el mexicano and quesabirria for the entrees . They were served hot and were very delicious. Our server, Christian, was great, very attentive, and funny. The bread pudding took me by surprise at the end and I genuinely would recommend this place!

This Mexican restaurant offers a spacious setting with a large menu. It feels more like a high-end Mexican restaurant. I ordered the fish and it was awesome! Overall, the food and experience were very good, though a bit on the pricey side. Highly recommended.

We hosted my dad’s 60th birthday celebration at Los Gallitos (Richmond, TX), and everything turned out absolutely perfect! We had about 65 guests, and everyone was thrilled with both the food and the service. The room had plenty of space for our group, and we were even able to play our own music — the soundproof setup made it feel like a private celebration without disturbing the rest of the restaurant.
A huge thank-you to Mayra, Edil, Miguel, and Salvador for their outstanding service throughout the event! They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I also want to give a special shout-out to the bar staff, who did a fantastic job keeping our guests’ drinks full all evening — even though I didn’t catch their names, please know your hard work did not go unnoticed.
Every team member played a role in making this milestone celebration so memorable for our family. Thank you again, Los Gallitos, for the wonderful food, great service, and perfect atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!

Had a great experience at Los Gallitos Mexican Cafe! The food was delicious and full of flavor, but what really made our visit stand out was our waitress, Camila. She was excellent — very knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and answered all of our questions with confidence.
Camila checked on us often to make sure everything was perfect without being overwhelming. She was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire meal. I also appreciated that she offered dessert at the end, which was a nice touch and made the experience feel complete.

This was my first time visiting Los Gallitos Mexican Restaurant in Richmond, and we were genuinely impressed! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with warm, friendly service and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.
The food was absolutely fantastic — every dish was packed with flavor and quality ingredients. I really appreciated the thoughtful vegetarian options to substitute for meat. The veggie quesadillas, spinach enchiladas, and vegetable enchiladas were some of the best we’ve had anywhere — perfectly seasoned and served with delicious rice and beans.
The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being overbearing — didn’t have to ask for refills, and our server checked in just the right amount.
All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!!

In town for a conference and staying at hotel across the street. Walked in at about 8pm on a Tuesday night after traveling all day and the two of us were given one of the greatest Mexican food meals we’ve ever had. Miguel and Bri were absolutely amazing, kind, and always checking in with water refills and asking if we needed anything. Food was spectacular! Tacos were HUGE, deep fried avocado with shrimp was something I’ve never had (or heard of before), but may be my newest favorite meal ever. Great portion sizes and by far makes the price extremely reasonable for amount of food you get. Thank you all so much for such an amazing dinner and a great time with great conversation with the employees.

Mr. Julio was a lifesaver. My son’s graduation dinner was booked at the Richmond location for months prior. I had a receipt for the deposit. I called several times to make sure we were on the books. Guess what? The day before as I’m sitting in the hospital with my terminally ill mother, I get a call from Charlie. Charlie is the manager at the Richmond location. He proceeded to tell me a plethora of excuses. First, it was a church group that wanted to extend their time in the party room. Then, they didn’t have room in the party room. Then, he had a corner in the back of the restaurant for us. I immediately left my mother’s side to straighten out this clusterF. On top of my mom dying, my son’s graduation dinner shouldn’t be ruined also. Charlie and I were at an impasse. With graduation being the next day, there was simply no other restaurant that could accommodate my group of 30. I think asked if the Stafford location had availability. The manager, Mr. Julio called me right away. He was so accommodating. My family and I were truly grateful for his willingness to work with us. His staff treated us so well. Their kindness brought me to tears at a very trying time in our lives. Mr. Julio was truly Heaven sent. Oh and yes, the food and margaritas were exceptional!

We used to visit the Sugar Land location regularly and always enjoyed the food, so we were excited when the Richmond location opened much closer to our home. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill with each visit. The food has become incredibly bland, and even the queso—which used to be amazing—was awful on our last visit. It was a completely different color and tasted nothing like what we were used to.
For how expensive this place is, the experience has become very disappointing. We’ve given it multiple chances, but we’re officially done. We’ll happily drive three times farther for better food, better service, and better prices elsewhere.
