Food is amazing. MI sushi roll is fantastic.. Fried rice is too good . They do have all you can eat sushi for $25, but we didn’t opt for that.We went on Friday night where only 5 tables were occupied so no wait time. I wanted to mention that our server didn’t seem very welcoming during the entire time we were there. A friendlier approach would have made the experience much better.”

My wife and I were on vacation to Grand Rapids for a few days and really wanted some sushi. She did the leg work and found us this amazing place.
The inside is great with comfy seats and warm inviting decor. We were greeted right when we came and sat immediately.
Our server, Winnie was amazing. Such a sweetheart and knowledgeable. She made the evening even better.
We ordered multiple items, which included the sweet potato tempura, thatI highly recommend. Our two sushi rolls can only be described as amazing and our basil Thai fried rice was top notch.
We will definitely be back next time we are in Grand Rapids. You should visit as well if your out here!

Small area that seats more than expected. Longer than normal wait for our food. We had a 6:30 reservation and our food arrived at 7:45. The couple that were seated right before us were done eating by this time. When our food arrived we didn’t have chopsticks or napkins, but the other groups received these on arrival. Seemed to be some confusion but it was also extremely busy. Drinks were great. I would come again just not on a weekend during dinner hours. We did not drive here but if you are looking to drive, parking might be tight. It’s on a busy one way, one lane street.

Incredible food. Good price for amount of options. I did the lunch all you can eat for 15.99 which included options of appetizers, soups, salads, meals such as pad Thai and fried rice, and sushi rolls. Calm, clean, and vibey environment and good service. Great experience.

Great atmosphere. I got the $26 all-you-can-eat dinner and had a tuna roll, oishi roll, chicken lo mein, and mango roll. It was all very delicious. The rolls were all ready quickly but the lo mein took a little longer.

I recently ordered sushi here and was really disappointed with what I received. I ordered unagi with avocado, but what I got was basically a tub of avocado with a tiny amount of unagi mixed in. There was barely any eel at all. I also tried the Sumo Roll, and it was overwhelmingly cream cheese—so much that it drowned out everything else.
It seems like this place might also offer all-you-can-eat sushi, and the to-go orders feel like they’re made with the same “fill it with cheap ingredients” approach. For the money, it’s just not worth it. Save yourself the disappointment and skip this place.

I visited Soho Sushi on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I understand it was a very busy night, but the service was still not acceptable.
Our server, Serena, came across as rude and inattentive. The food took a very long time to arrive, to the point that we had to cancel part of our order due to the wait. We were also never brought utensils, and I had to leave the table to ask for them myself.
An 18% service fee was automatically added, even though we were only two people dining at that point. Given the level of service we received, this felt unjustified.
That said, I do want to mention something positive: the food itself was good and tasted great. Unfortunately, the poor service took away from what could have been an enjoyable experience.
I hope management can address these issues and improve the overall service in the future.

Stopped by today with my wife and son. The hostess was very polite and accommodating. The food and service was excellent as well. We have been here a couple of times before and had great service. This time was even better service and the food seemed to taste better also. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. They have fried rice, Lo Mein or Pad Thai with your choice of veggies, chicken, beef or shrimp, for those that do not like sushi. I had the Michigan Roll and the
Fancy Salmon Roll and they were both delicious. My wife and son had chicken fried rice and Lo Mein a Lo one with the Pork Gyoza as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. For roughly 15 bucks per person for lunch is hard to beat anywhere specially in Downtown Grand Rapids. Thank you, for the great food and service!

Overall I am incredibly disappointed. The rolls are bland and flavorless. The strongest flavor was the lettuce in the Shrimp Tempura Roll and it had no place in sushi. I ordered the Tiffany roll without the spicy mayo and it came with it. The restaurant was under-staffed and the service was slow. I will not be back.
