Well. The day after the meal, and we’re all sick from the food we ate. I’ll spare you the details but let me tell you, it’s no bueno.
The food is really not great. We’ve tasted way too many authentic Mexican dishes to be impressed by this. It comes across as if it’s good but that is because it is so incredibly salty, it’s ridiculous. I wish an authority would go check the salt levels. We had both beef and pork. The shredded beef looked dubious and any meat taste was disguised with sauce. I still can’t talk about it. The pork, a dripping super greasy sauce, salt and sugar must be their ingredient of choice. The quac and chips is not better. The guacamole is, again, super salty. It is also sour. I tried to identify what it’s made of because there are avocados in there (not a lot) but also another green emulsion. I really cannot recommend this place. And if you go, please be honest about your experience. It’s like a “students-would-like-it” kind of place, when you’re out to get drunk and can’t taste anything anyway, this would be your place.
By the way, the staff is friendly, they are rushed but kind.

I came to La Condesa tonight and it was amazing! The tacos were the best I have ever had (outside of Oaxaca), and the owner was a delight. Enjoyed chatting away in Spanish with the staff, and they recommended the Tres Leches cake which was DELICIOUS. Also had a passion fruit margarita which they made with meszcal instead of tequila which I loved. Can’t wait to return to Amsterdam so I can come back!

This spot is hiding in plain sight!!! The birria taquitos were reaaalllyyy good. Had me doing a little dance after the first bite. Not to mention the spicy mango margarita(s) we had. What I also really like is the no bullshit menu. They know that tacos are their thing they largely stick to tacos. I love it when restaurants have a niche or stick to their strengths instead of giving a thousand options to choose from. There could have probably been more starters options, but I really like how much attention this setup allows you to give to the tacos – shape, form, texture, flavour. You immerse more. Given the high quality and central location, the price was not too expensive. However. I would wish for the portion size to be a tad bit more generous. All in all: La Condesa was a HITTTT. Pretty atmosphere, Latin music, and chill staff too

We had such an amazing experience at La Condesa Taqueria! The service was outstanding – everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The vibe truly feels like being in Mexico, full of positive energy. And the food… wow! Honestly the best tacos we’ve ever had in our lives, with incredible sauces and delicious cocktails too. Everything was perfect and so fairly priced. Can’t wait to come back! ✨

I can never not try Biria tacos. These were as wonderful as any I’ve ever had. The broth was drinkable. Super satisfying. It’s a small place (watch your head on the way in!), but it’s a great space, with wonderful staff who truly love the food they’re making. A highlight of the trip for sure.

Amazing tacos! Birria, cochinita and al pastor are very close to authentic Mexican tacos! Plus they are delicious. My favorite was Al pastor. And the people working there were super kind, very “Mexican” way of being friendly. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic meal and an amazing experience. We arrived to this restaurant tucked away from the side of the canal, to see all tables filled and a lady singing. We had spicy mango margaritas whilst we chose which tacos we wanted. Everything on the menu is gluten free except the beer battered fish tacos and the tortilla chips. We ordered 2 slow cooked pork and 8 slow cooked beef with cheese (the star of the show). The tacos were delicious and flavourful, and the service was great.

The food was good. We tried 5 different tacos and probably we liked Costra de Birria the most.
Table service however needs to be worked on. We felt in a constant rush, from the first time we ordered until we payed. I think that a slightly more relaxed service could make a more enjoyable dining experience.
