WOW. Everything we ordered was incredible, the beef meatballs were packed with flavor, the pizza was perfection, and the onion rings were crispy and addictive. Seriously could not miss with a single item. On top of that, our server was AMAZING. She was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. This place absolutely nailed it and we can’t wait to come back!

Me and my wife was visiting Newport Beach and stopped by for a quick bite and a couple of beers. The staff was great and friendly and the vegetarian chips and salsa was awesome. They didn’t just put a bunch of chips on a platter and dump cheese and guacamole on top. They actually layered the chips with everything so almost every chip had stuff on it! We also had their giant pretzel with cheese and honey mustard and it was warm, soft and delicious . The draft beers we had were excellent and perfectly cold! We were about to run out of time on our parking meter and Hector, one of their staff members, was so nice to add more time for us since he had the parking app. Now if that isn’t going above and beyond, I don’t know what is☺. Thanks again Hector! If we ever visit Newport Beach again you know where we will be going! Oh, I forgot to mention that the bar area was also awesome and had lots of really cool decorations from yesteryear!

It was our first time here and we will be back. Food was fresh and portions were large. Chicken Pesto sandwich was amazing.
Mimosas were bottomless and were very tasty too.
Server Chelsie was great!

Sharon or whatever her name is the one with the brunette ponytail as well as the one with the blonde balayage is actually racially profiling their customers. I simply asked for change when we paid $50 and she gives us the dirtiest attitude. Genuinely it was racially insensitive and they were not treating us the same compared to all of the other customers. DO NOT COME HERE. They demanded us for a tip for doing the bare minimum.

On our trip to SoCal for Disneyland and Universal, we stopped at Stag Bar + Kitchen in the Newport Beach area. We got there around 11:30am and immediately greeted by some of the most attentive servers I’ve encountered in a long time. My mother and I both ordered strawberry margaritas, with a chicken pesto sandwich for myself and the meatball sub for her. Both drinks and food were excellent. The margaritas were mixed to perfection and rimmed with chile/salt, the sandwiches absolutely flavorful. For myself I actually thought the fries were the star of the meal, combined with their in-house ranch dipping sauce. Run, don’t walk to Stag Bar + Kitchen because I know we’ll definitely be making a stop here when we’re in the area again.

When I was looking for some happy hour specials in the area, I found this place on google reviews. And it certainly did not disspipoint

The beer was pretty standard. $4 for a Coors lite, if a remember correctly. So not a ridiculously good deal, but still quite good, especially for being in Newport Beach, which is a somewhat of an upscale area.

The half off appitizers are what really set this place apart from some of the other places I’ve been to. I ordered the short rib nachos and they were very filling and quite tasty as well. What really impressed me is that they did not skimp you on the meat. There was a good distribution of all of the ingredients.

It is also the oldest bar in Newport Beach, at least that’s what they claim.

Overall, this place is well worth the visit, especially if you visit during happy hour like I did.

Stag bar has a great selection of cocktails and beers. The environment is fun with a cool patio upstairs overlooking part of the beach. There is live music several nights a week which is a plus. I came for bar appetizers and drinks on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy so the food and drinks were served up quick. The fries and mozzarella sticks are very tasty but the chicken tenders can be avoided as they don’t taste like anything special and aren’t really worth the money.
