Special thanks to Lloyd, who photographed us, who truly knows the best angles. Thank you for capturing such beautiful moments and giving us incredible photos.
All the staff were kind, approachable, and provided excellent service. They had a pianist.
Dining at the Champagne Room was an exceptional experience. They offer à la carte options as well as two different complete courses. We tried both courses, and every dish was outstanding—from the entrées to the desserts, the flavors were absolutely excellent.
We got engaged here, which made the experience even more romantic and unforgettable. ✨

We also always make sure to get the Baked Alaska — it’s that good.
PSA: If you’re planning to try their drinks, make sure to ask for the menu ‘cause they don’t usually hand it out unless you ask.
We were initially led to believe that in-house guests of The Manila Hotel, such as us, would get 20% discount off the bill. When the bill arrived we were told that the 20% discount only applied to food, not to drinks.
When we were shown to our seats, we were told “You are getting water. Would you like it still or sparkling?” We were not told there is a charge for the water! We were not asked whether we’d like to ‘order’ water, equivalent to £4:50 per bottle.
When asked if we’d like to order wine, we chose a Reisling but weren’t informed of the cost. On the bill we saw we’d been charged £58 for the bottle, an 8.5% alcohol fruity wine.
Our Manila Hotel experience has been spoilt by this incident.
Definitely have your wits about you in this restaurant and don’t be taken for a ride.
Update on 31/01/26:
I had complained to the manager of the Champagne Room who investigated the above.
1) He refunded the difference of the 20% on the drinks bill. The hotel policy is to only offer 20% discount off of the food but to maintain goodwill he offered this refund.
2) He apologised for the misunderstanding over the water charge.
3) He admitted that the sommelier had not informed us of the wine charge, and apologised.
The manager asked us to please consider returning to the Hotel.
Long favored by the fashionable set, it is well-known for its impeccable service and lavish décor, including crystal palm trees, tasseled ceiling fixtures and floral upholstered chairs, which perfectly reflect its sumptuous classical offerings. A favorite venue for elegant gatherings and celebrations, the Champagne Room best embodies the Grand Dame’s decades of tradition and devotion to providing guests with only the finest dining experience.
