We had dinner at Casa Sensei in Fort Lauderdale, seated in the interior dining room. The space was stylish and comfortable, but the real draw is the waterfront patio — definitely worth reserving ahead if you want that view.

For food, we tried the lobster guacamole, which was flavorful but came in a tiny portion, and the accompanying tortilla chips were a bit too chewy. The perfumed roasted duck was a standout — tender, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The braised octopus with vegetables was perfectly cooked.

We paired the meal with a crisp white wine from New Zealand, which went well with the seafood and duck.
Service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant, lively yet refined. A beautiful spot overall, especially if you can snag a table by the water, but some dishes could use more generous portions and a bit more attention to textures.

We celebrated my sister’s birthday on 2/19 at Casa Sensei with a group of eight, and the experience was truly exceptional from start to finish.
Our waiter, Thomas, was absolutely amazing. He took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everyone in our party felt comfortable and excited about their selections. Beyond his knowledge, his personality really elevated the evening he kept the conversation flowing, shared great jokes, and created such a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere. He genuinely made our first experience there unforgettable.
The service was attentive, the energy was vibrant, and the overall experience was exactly what you hope for when celebrating a special occasion. Thomas is a fantastic addition to the staff, and we sincerely hope he’ll be our waiter again when we return which we definitely will.
Highly recommend for celebrations or a great night out!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was expertly prepared—perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and truly memorable. The ambiance made it even better; dining right next to the water created such a relaxing, picturesque atmosphere that elevated the entire evening.

Our server, Joe, was exceptional. He had a calm, welcoming presence and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. He was incredibly attentive, answered all of our questions with patience and warmth, and genuinely made us feel well taken care of. Servers like Joe make all the difference, and I sincerely hope we’re lucky enough to be seated with him again.

Without question, I’ll be returning—and I’m already looking forward to trying the dinner cruise as well. A wonderful experience all around!

5 stars all around! This restaurant is Latin-Asian fusion. Delicious with amazing service and chick atmosphere. They have tables outside by the water, but they were busy when we visited, so we sat inside, which was perfectly fine. We had the Seabass, and different plates of sushi. We also had the pork dumplings, and almond cake. All the food was very good. Prices are mid-high and in my opinion, adequately priced. Would recommend and will return.

Absolutely delicious! Every dish was packed with amazing flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. From the perfectly seasoned noodles to the sushi and grilled items, everything was cooked just right and beautifully presented. You can really tell care goes into the food here. The service was amazing, and they even surprised us with free cotton candy, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. Great portions, great taste, and a wonderful overall dining experience. Definitely a place I’d come back to again!

Empressions
It’s a cute spot, much smaller than it looks in the pictures. I rated a three because only parts of the dish were composed. The first picture is the Seabass the second is the salmon. The protein was well prepared, we both thought the salmon tasted much better. The vegetables and the rice and quinoa were basic at best. The vegetables were a mix between frozen and fresh. They were OK but the major disappointment was the rice and the quinoa 100% flavorless bland as could be, not even salt was detected, and since there was no real sauce on the dish, both of us left a giant pile of rice and quinoa on the plate. I also ordered a sangria, which I enjoyed very much.!

This is our second visit to Casa Sensei in Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale.
This place its great. It has inside and outside dinning room. I definitely recommend to seat outside. Its located next to a Canal, you can dinner next to the water. Such a beautiful place.
Service is fast, food is fast, drinks are great. Super clean and a magical atmosphere.
Our server name was Christian, he was on top of the table without been too much. He explained all details about the food and he recommended a dulce de leche cheesecake that was to die for it.
Soft beautiful music. Water next to our table, great service and impecable food.
I would like to recommend the Argentinian Beef empanadas, the korean steak and the dulce de leche cheesecake.!!!
They accept reservations
This is a must go!!

Tried something new and now it’s our favorite restaurant! All around great experience! The service, the food, even the tables next to us. We went with every recommendation the server gave us and wasn’t disappointed on one thing. From the popcorn to the cotton candy we were pleasantly surprised at each bite. We got grilled octopus, (again our servers recommendation not my choice, but so glad we did), a sushi roll, chimchurry steak, a pad kee mow and cheesecake! Such a wonderful time. We ate outside and loved it. Its our new spot for our anniversary! Lauren our server was amazing! She remembered drinks, gave suggestions, checked in often and was very kind. Our reservation was right on time, they were very kind to our daughter’s and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We can’t wait to go back!

Local Truth Bomb
We went to Casa Sensei yesterday and walked away with mixed feelings.

Food
We ordered the much promoted Wagyu Steak Burger, the one placed dead center on the menu and labeled as their specialty. It definitely sounds impressive: foie gras, chutney, provolone, even sheets of gold. In reality, it was… peculiar. Despite being cooked medium and perfectly pink inside, the patty was strangely very dry. Zero juice. For something advertised as Wagyu, that’s a red flag because from experience, it’s extra juicy. It genuinely made me question whether we were being fooled.

Worth noting: every item we chose on the menu, including this burger and the rolls, was labeled as a “favorite.” Based on that, the expectations were high.

The burger came with fries fried in duck fat, which also missed the mark. Crispy, yes, but overly thick and lacking any real flavor. We had one or two and abandoned the rest.

We also tried two rolls. Presentation was solid, but the taste was completely average. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing memorable either.

Service
Our waitress was the bright spot: pleasant, patient, and genuinely friendly. No complaints here.

Atmosphere
Beautiful decor, great energy, and a solid location. They’ve done an excellent job creating a space you actually want to sit in.

Overall, Casa Sensei hits the vibe and the service, but the food, especially the dishes they highlight as “favorites” were disappointing and made us regret the 40min drive south.

Casa Sensei – definitely a hit with the Asian/Latin fusion. The service is top tier, our waiter Francisco C knows the menu and best recommendations for meals. He led us in the right direction for shareables. We ordered and the food came out in a good time frame hot, fresh, and delicious I couldn’t stop eating. The flavors of each meal was well thought out and put together to create such an experience of the cultures. The manager comes out and speaks with us and I can appreciate that, it shows they actually care about your experience in their establishment.
