I was charged more than two dollars just to place my order online . My order was supposed to be tamales , I got enchiladas . It was to have charro beans , they gave me refried. I told them that was wrong and he said they ran out of food and I could wait 30 minutes for my correct order. You can’t give someone something that they didn’t order simply because you run out. The food was cold and paying 20 dollars for something you didn’t order is so bizarre. I took the food because I had already paid for it and did not want to wait another half hour but I will never be back.

They ADD a SURCHARGE when you use a credit card! Better establishments NEVER do this. A business has many expenses; the credit card merchant fee is one of those expenses. That cost should simply be “baked in” to what they charge. I would have NO problem if they raised their prices accordingly, but like most people, I hate “EXTRA” or any “ADD-ON” fees. So far, they do not add a surcharge, for straws, napkins, the bathroom, or their parking lot.
The salsa and chips were fresh. The beef enchiladas and chicken fajitas are good. They have Coke, not Pepsi, I was happy about that. Our server checked on us twice, no problems there. Plenty of free parking. With all the great Mexican restaurants in the area, we definitely WON’T be back here until they drop the surcharge for credit cards.

Just visited Los Jalapeños in Carrollton—total gem! This cozy mom-and-pop spot nailed authentic Mexican flavors without the fuss. Sat at the bar and got killer service from Irma, our awesome bartender. Super friendly, made the whole meal even better. Food was fresh, portions generous, and their array of hot sauces? Absolute perfection—pick your heat, love every drop. Highly recommend for anyone craving real deal Mexican food. Five stars!

I’ve been hoping and searching for this kind of hole-in-the wall texmex restaurant. Their salsa is good. Their cheese enchiladas are exactly what I expect for texmex. Cheesy, chili, more cheese. Rice and beans were also good.
I’ve ordered twice here and both times have been consistent.
The first time, in person, waitress was attentive and friendly, didn’t skip a beat.
The second time I Doordashed. Their packaging for the meal is a plastic ish microwave safe container, so I actually got to eat my meal hot.

First of all, very friendly staff. Welcoming and polite. However, I was a little disappointed with the lack of authenticity of food because of the lack of any spices. I ordered the vegetable fajitas and they were quite bland as well as was the rice. It helped to pour salsa on everything. Most importantly there was very little chance that nobody noticed that these vegetables for my fajitas were overcooked when they were brought to my table and just got worse from that point forward. I was with my elderly mother and did not want to delay our meal by sending it back. Anyways, I was able to fill myself up with the tortilla chips and rice and beans in the tortillas. When the server brought the check, I pointed to all of these vegetables that were inedible and she just went back and got me a fresh plate, which I took to go, which I guess was nice but should have been done the first time around.
