I placed an order online ahead of time, expecting a smooth pickup. When I arrived at the drive-thru, no one answered—after multiple attempts. So I pulled up to the window, only to find the restaurant completely empty. Windows wide open, no staff in sight. A random woman appeared, then immediately ducked into a corner and tried to hide. When I called out to her, she looked at me, said nothing, and casually walked to the front to start wiping down tables.
At this point, I parked and went inside, confused. She was still the only person visible in the entire place. I asked if they were closed—she said no, and continued cleaning without offering to help or take an order.
About five minutes later, two more employees finally emerged from the back. One of them—a man—walked to the front, glanced around, and just left the restaurant. The other lingered in the back, seemingly doing nothing, before slowly making her way up to the counter to finally ask what we wanted.
By this time, five more customers had come in—everyone clearly frustrated, waiting, being ignored, or dealing with delayed orders. The so-called “manager” said nothing helpful, barely acknowledged anyone, and muttered something under her breath before disappearing again.
Let me be clear: I ordered my food online at 4:00 p.m. and didn’t walk out until 4:45 p.m. Forty-five minutes for a mobile order at a supposedly staffed restaurant. This was, without a doubt, some of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
And beyond that—the fact that the place was wide open with nobody at the front? That’s a safety issue. Anyone could have walked in and done whatever they wanted.
If you’re thinking about giving this place a shot despite the reviews, don’t. I wish I had taken them more seriously. Based on my experience, every single one of those negative reviews was likely spot on.
And after all of that, the food is disgusting and the order is wrong. SMH

I ordered online and when I got my food my nuggets and fries were missing. I went inside and the cashier looked like he wanted to be somewhere else and looked like he wasn’t paying attention. I asked if he heard me and he said I got you. He didn’t ask how many nuggets I got or the size of the fries. I only got 5 of my 12 nuggets and he gave me a large fry when was regular. I’m very unsatisfied with this kfc and think the cashier could have done better.

Took my money and kept my order. Already paid online.
Edit: went back the next day and got what I ordered and more. Very nice and accommodating. No issues whatsoever. Food and staff were on point.

Placed an order at 5:10 on the app. The app said my food was ready before I got to the restaurant. When I went inside to get it, it wasn’t on the pickup shelf. I told the cashier I had placed an online order and she printed off a ticket with what I’m assuming was my order. About 15 minutes later, the cashier asked me what I ordered. Told her I ordered a 2 piece white meat meal and a chicken sandwich. She went to the back and then said they were waiting on white meat. Mind you, several other customers have received orders during this time, including one person who ordered two 12 piece family meals. After several more minutes, a different employee asked what I ordered and then went to the back to start working on it. She then tells me they only have extra crispy white meat and no original recipe, which is what I ordered. I told her that was fine cause I would have taken pretty much anything at this point. She gets my 2 piece meal a few minutes later but still no sandwich. I got that a couple minutes later and walked out at 6:00, 50 minutes(!) after I ordered. Didn’t receive an apology or any explanation from any of the employees about the ridiculous wait time. All around embarrassing, KFC needs to shut this location down and put it out of its misery.

Yaya provided excellent customer service today during a busy lunch hour. She was definitely the glue that was holding the staff together. I was truly impressed by her! She made sure every customer was taken care of with specialized attention. She had a smile on her face and didn’t rush anyone. Keep up the good work, Yaya! Your are great at customer service!!

I was so impressed I had to leave a review, something I rarely do. The customer service was top notch and the food came out fast, hot and fresh. Within the last couple years fast food places have become so slack, not being managed right and employees have the worst, attitude, customer service and the food hardly comes out fresh. West Columbia kfc, thank you for your hospitality.

Arrived at the drive thru at 5:10 pm on 12/2/25. Ordered the 8 piece mix meal. Was told the wait for white would be approximately 6 minutes. Great! Fine! 6 minutes for hot, fresh food? Of course, I said that was okay. Paid for my meal at 5:12pm, which totaled $31.60, not exactly cheap fast food. Was told to park because another car was also waiting at the door for their order. I waited. I waited. I waited. 5:35 pm I called the number on the receipt from my car, no one answered. I waited some more. 5:45 pm I get out of my car, which is now dark in a not very safe place, and mind you I am disabled. I went in and had to flag someone down because no one bothered to acknowledge me. Told them I was now waiting for almost 40 minutes on an order that should have taken 6. I was asked what my order was? Was then told IT WOULD TAKE ANOTHER 10 MINUTES for white. So, what exactly was happening in the 40 minutes I was out there waiting for my food? All I got for my long wait was “I’m sorry”. No explanation or nothing. Wish they would have just admitted that they completely forgot I was waiting and be done with it. Also, while waiting inside for my meal I couldn’t help but noticed how slow everyone was. Being disabled I move quicker than that. I used to visit this restaurant pretty frequently. Not anymore. I know they don’t care and will probably be glad to hear it, less work for them. Oh, and the mashed potatoes and gravy was cold. But I guess sitting there for almost an hour will do that. I notified corporate but I doubt that will do anything, and from reading other reviews about their wait time, this common at this restaurant.

Went there at 10:11am and no one ever can to the drive through. Went ran my errand then can back at 10:46 and they still didn’t come to the drive thru. I went to go in and a lady that appears to be in manager clothing said that they were closed. While she was scrolling on her phone. I asked what time they opened she said well technically they are open but the cook is late and they dont have anything ready. Keep in mind I looked up what time they opened before I even went. As a manager it baffles me that she didn’t step in and cook what needed to be done so that the store could opening on time. Instead she was sitting down on her phone. Wow. Not the first bad experience I had from this location just this week. I went 2 other times and it was just as bad. Long wait times. Far longer than any other KFC I go to. I get the same thing everytime. I try to give a place a few times before I write them off but that did it for me.

Terrible service , the staff was rude & shouldn’t be employed by this establishment. We ordered a pot pie through drive through & after paying was told it would take 14 mins. My mom worked for kfc before & we know it only takes 14 mins to make. So they didnt start preparing from the moment we ordered. They waited til we paid , furthermore because of this delay when its supposed to be ( fast food ) we asked for a refund & were given a negative attitude because of so. If your going to choose a job , choose to do your job. Don’t be miserable with what YOU chose.

DISGUSTING. Messed our whole order up, down to the drink. Worker was walking around in the back with a piece of chicken hanging out of his mouth while prepping food. That’s probably where all the fresh chicken went because ours was old, rubbery, tasted like oil and cold. The tenders were dam near the size of the chicken fry’s from Burger King. Fry’s were also cold and tasted like oil. The girl at the window had an attitude, asked for a ranch and she acted like she was paying out her own pocket for it. By far the worse KFC experience we’ve ever encountered.
