We wanted to check out a good breakfast place while staying in Tampa. Ranch House Restaurant had good reviews. They were not wrong! At first glance, the strip mall it is located in is not the most up to date. Located at one end of it, parking was easy. We got a table right away & our server was prompt. She was so nice & friendly!! Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. My wife had a Monte Cristo sandwich, which was huge & delicious. I had a breakfast burrito, which was also fantastic. My youngest had a chocolate chip pancake with whipped cream. The cafe con leche was just what I was hoping for. Prices are reasonable too. Not a pretentious place, but a great menu with good food at reasonable prices paired with excellent service really can’t be beat.

Ranch House is the perfect local restaurant that offers great food, a homey atmosphere and most of all the best waitress Erica that makes you feel welcomed . Erika also makes a very delicious drink called Sparkling Sunrise! If you’re looking for a low key local place, stop by the Ranch House!

My boyfriend and I stopped into The Ranch House on New Year’s Day for a cute, nostalgic breakfast date. We’ve passed this place forever, so we figured, why not? Well… now we know why not.

Yes, it has that old-school diner look, but that’s about where the charm ends. Our table was sticky, the cutlery was dirty, and the place felt completely understaffed. The teenager running the front was doing their best, but the whole operation looked like it was hanging on by a thread.

Then came the bill—and that’s where this place completely lost me. A Western omelette, a waffle, home fries, and two orange juices should’ve totaled around $32 before tip. Instead? We were hit with a bill well over $40. So either mystery charges magically appeared, or gratuity was added without a word. Either way, it’s shady.

I’ve worked in the service industry for years, and this kind of thing is exactly how you lose customers permanently. We still tipped because it was New Year’s Day, but it felt awful knowing we were already overcharged. Super disappointing. We won’t be back.

Everything here was pretty subpar but the service and my gyro was borderline comical. The waitress wasn’t bad per se and maybe she was having a bad day as I heard her trying to calm herself before we had any interaction. Maybe should have saw that as a red flag but we continued to sit and dine in. It’s our first time, and my sister asks if what kind of soft drinks they have. The waitress points at a machine behind us and sarcastically says Pepsi products and points. Ok, not a big deal. Again, I was assuming she had a bad day so I stayed polite and made my order. I’ve had the worst luck with food this weekend in general… but yes, I order the gyro. See the picture below and tell me if it worth $10.99? When I asked the server if this was the normal amount, she was sassy and simply said yes. No really customer service skills here. “No, I’m sorry or can I get you something else or I can see if they’ll grill up more meat.” Nothing was done to make a person want to come back. Going to Foodys nearby to get a real gyro.

Traveling through and my boyfriend and i stopped by for a bite to eat we ordered the smash avocado toast under lighter meals and he ordered the country fried steak eggs, hash browns and omg all of it included the sweet tea was soooo good. We love breakfast and we left very pleased☺️☺️☺️thank you, if we find ourselves back in the area we will definitely be back
