Wah Hing is a solid 3.5+ star Chinese restaurant. The food was fresh and hot with middle of the road ingredients. There’s nothing to rave over yet nothing off putting either. The staff did their job well.
Visited on Sunday evening 7/13/2025. It was about 86° degrees outside and the dinning room was comfortably air conditioned. It was not cold inside but definitely not hot and I keep my home 68-70° year round. There were 4 occupied booths with about 12 people total and 3 other booths were seated during my visit as well as several take out orders being picked up.
The food was decent although the Kung Pao Shrimp literally had 4 shrimp which was disappointing.
This was my first visit. I will not go out of my way to visit again but will definitely return at some point.

Thank God for Panda Express in Post Falls, at least their food won’t make you sick. I don’t know who the heck is giving this dump, Wah Hing, 3,4, and even five star reviews. Sadly, the one star ratings are accurate. DO NOT GO HERE! Trust me on this! We just threw out $60 dollars worth of food because it was horrible, not fresh, and had a bad odor. We though about feeding it to our dogs, but were afraid any amount would make them sick.
Usually, I try to give small restaurant businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this meal was practically criminal and I am angry. The worst part is that the owner doesn’t seem to care. THIS PLACE DESERVES TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! And I’m thinking of calling the health department.
We tried this place about three years ago and it was NOT GOOD. We decided to give it another try. BIG MISTAKE. The hot and sour soup was improperly prepared and smelled of old stale chicken. The General Tso’s Chicken $24 consisted of tiny pieces of chicken with massive breading and WAS greasy (smelled of old grease) with some seemingly canned sauce poured on top, awful. The pork fried rice (listed as a customer favorite) was not fresh and tasted old like it had been reheated a couple of times. The egg roll tasted fine on first bite, but that’s because all the grease ran to the bottom, this was their best dish today.
We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, pork fried rice, one order hot and sour soup and one order (2) egg rolls.
$60 dollars! And we had to throw it out. RIP OFF horrible food.

After doing some intensive Google searching we came upon this hidden gem in Rathdrum. We love Chinese food but are very picky when it comes to ingredients. This place is spot on with genuine chow-mein flavor and crunchy noodles to boot. We have had a really hard time finding a place that has crunchy noodles in their chow-mein that’s why I mentioned it. Anyway we had the combination appetizer to get a good selection of their flavors. It was all very good and the crab wonton is awesome. I am not a fan of fried rice I usually get sticky but forgot to tell the server, My family says it was good. It is really a must try if your looking for Chinese food in the area. The service was fast and the server was very friendly. The restaurant itself could use some upgrades, but it was clean.

Best authentic Chinese food I’ve had in a while. As typical of these restaurants, the service was luckluster but efficient. Otherwise I’d say five star. But I went in, sat for a while, ate great food, tipped well. Good place overall, I’ll be back. Any single moms need a date? LOL

I inquired about their fried wonton appetizer and was advised that there was no filling in the wonton. I asked for clarification and the male server told me that it was plain deep fried dough and added that I cannot expect any fillings for $8+. Seriously? $8 now gets you plain dough which costs next to nothing. Not sure what warped world I wandered into, but this is ridiculous. Nowhere else in the Chinese world will you find a “wonton” with nothing inside, it’s like selling a “dumpling” with no filling LOL.
