Bar is busy. It’s Saturday night, the place is poppin’. Nothing on menu catches my eye. We go with classics. “I’ll have a Negroni”, I say. “Moscow Mule”, my comrade orders. Drinks come back, “Negroni and Moscow Mule”, the bartender announces.
We pay. Life seems good. The Moscow Mule is in a Highball… but the bartender’s gone. Nothing to be done. We grab a seat and start drinking. But what are we drinking?
The Mule doesn’t have alcohol. It’s orange fizz. 20$ of orange fizz. The Negroni also tastes like orange liqueur. It has the right colour, but lacks the bitterness of Campari; lacks the burn of gin. It’s oddly sweet.
Vibes are on point. This is not a cocktail bar. Order a beer, or submit to the uncertainty of whatever pre-mixed beverage they may serve up.

It was nice and Christmasy but we were about 50 minutes in line to order. Their bar closes at around 11 but you can still hand out there.

I’ve been here a few times now and I’ve had a good experience every time. It’s nice that you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to enjoy their cafe.
It’s a beautiful & creative space and quite relaxing if you go during the week. Emilia & Inga always deliver a top notch flat white.

When you just need some coffee to call down and the gals running the coffee know exactly what to do! Parking was challenging, I was trying to find some coffee close and realized we were literally on the doorstop of coffee. The ladies running were up to the task of creating perfection in the form of a honey latte and vanilla cold brew and it was absolute bliss. Perfect way to start a late evening!
