I wanted some good Italian cookies and I’m happy that I found this cute little bakery in New Haven. I ordered a few different cookies and pastries. I got an assortment of the mini pastries, which included chocolate Pasticciotti , Sicilian Cannoli and cream puff. They were all good. I also got container of the Lemon holiday cookies which I wasn’t really a fan of. The almond base Italian cookies were my favorite here. Staff was friendly and service was fast.

I visit Connecticut every few years to see my family and to pick up Lucibello’s . Easily the best classic pasteries. I feel great supporting a local business and leave with the best ingredients and quality food. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face and connecting my family through dessert.

I love Lucibello’s and all its pastries, which is why we decided to get our wedding cake from them! The cake was beautiful, delicious and very reasonably priced. I will always recommend Lucibello’s for any of your dessert needs! photo credit: Gillian Rae Photography

Lucibello’s Italian Pastry Shop is the Real Deal
Lucibello’s is everything you’d hope for in an authentic Italian pastry shop. The flavors are rich, traditional, and clearly made with real, high-quality ingredients. You can tell each pastry is prepared with care and pride—something that really comes through in both the taste and the presentation.
The owners work incredibly hard, and it shows in every bite. Whether you’re going for a classic cannoli, sfogliatelle, or any of their other specialties, you’ll taste the difference.
I’ve also tried Libby’s, and honestly, Lucibello’s is 2 to 5 times better in every category—flavor, freshness, and authenticity. If you want the real thing, Lucibello’s is it.

What a great experience. Their zeppole is the best! Peter, the owner creates a welcoming environment and that family atmosphere is evident with his employees. Jenna, Maryann and Gracie have superior customer service and their smiles made me double my order!! A classic Italian Pastry Shop that I highly recommend.

Their selections are amazing, the lobster tails, sfogliatelle, pasticciotti, and cannoli are amazing–plus, to all of my frequent flyers into Tweed/HVN, these pastries travel VERY well! The business is short drive or 15-20 minute walk from Wooster Street… and in my honest opinion, it’s worth the trek!

This place is a New Haven institution. I am 46 years old and my family has been coming here religiously my entire life and before. The Italian pastries are outstanding. Yesterday, Christmas Eve, we bought a dozen pastries and two dozen cookies. Everything was perfect except the cannolis. The shells were burned and hard and not the typical light and flaky. The shells were actually brown they were so dark. I’m assuming this was a one off since it’s the holidays but I was disappointed to see it. I still highly recommend this bakery but check your pastries before you leave.

This shop is great. I walked in and everyone was so nice. I ended up getting a couple cannoli. I didn’t even make it back to the car before I had finished the first one and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back

I’m Asian, so I usually don’t trust non-Asian pastry shops since they tend to be way toooooo sweet for my taste—but this spot is different. The lobster tail is super crispy, and the chocolate cream is rich and flavorful without being overly sweet. The apricot almond cake reminds me of something I used to have back home—very lemony and fresh. As for the Napoleon cake, it’s not bad, just not my favorite compared to the other two
